Salt Lake City Events:
Festival of Trees – December 3-6 at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy. There will be Entertainment, Santa Land, Kids Corner, Elf Emporium, Scones, Sweet Shoppe, gingerbread houses, and over 700 beautifully decorated trees on display. Admission is $5/adult; $3/child (2-11) – 100% off all money raised goes directly to help the Primary Children’s Hospital. Discount tickets are available at most Zion Bank branches. Family Day is 12/3 where up to six immediate family members get in for $15.
Midway Christmas – December 5-6. Admission is Free and includes a children’s activity room and musical performances. Santa will also be at Midway Town Hall along with crafts, vendors, gifts, entertainment and more.
Christkindlmarkt and Lantern Parade – December 4-6 at This is The Place Heritage Park. Admission is free and offers a unique holiday shopping and cultural experience,
Cedar City Festival of Trees – December 4-5 at Randall Jones Theater. The event will showcase decorated trees along with Christmas presentations. Admission is free, however, donations are suggested.
Christmas in the Nighttime Sky (Sandy) – December 5 from 6-8 pm at Grace Lutheran Church (1815 E 9800 S). Enjoy a professional firework show set to Christmas music. Come early to enjoy some time with Santa and a Free Chili dinner. Admission is free, however, donation of a new, unwrapped gift is suggested.
Light the Night (South Jordan) – Friday, December 5 from 6:30-8 pm at South Jordan City Hall. There will be free hot chocolate and cookies, free ice skate rental, free wagon rides, and Gingerbread Houses inside City Hall and of course Santa
Christmas Tree Lighting (Mapelton) – Friday, December 5 at 6 pm at Main City Park. Enjoy carols from the Mapelton Elementary 1st grade, a visit from Santa, some hot chocolate and doughnuts.
Weber County Holiday Festival (Ogden) – December 5-6 from 11 am – 8 pm at Golden Spike Event Center. Enjoy holiday displays, live nativity and more. Admission is free.
Moab MARC Holiday Art & Craft Gift Fair – December 5-6 at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center. Admission is Free.
Moab City Holiday Tree Lighting (Moab) – December 5 at 5 pm at Swanny City Park. Enjoy live music with local choir and bands, Santa, cookies and hot cocoa.
Moab Christmas Electric Parade – December 6 from at 6 pm on Main Street.
Holiday Festival (Kearns) – Saturday, December 6 from 6-10 pm at the Olympic Oval in Kearns. There will be crafts, ice skating, ice skating show, bounce houses, Santa and more. Admission is $5/Adult, $3/Kids ages 3-12 or Seniors, however, admission is FREE with a non-perishable donation per person (skate rental not included). There will also be $2 meals.
Sugar House Winter Carnival – Saturday, December 6 10:30-7pm at Sugarmont Plaza ( 2232 S Highland Dr.). Enjoy local art, listen to live music and dance the night away to the Latin rhythms. Guest appearances by Elsa and Santa Claus. Family-friendly arts and craft activities, s’more making, vendor booths and hot cocoa.
Red Butte Garden Holiday Open House – December 6 & 7 from 10-5 pm. Admission is FREE and there will be complimentary cider and hot chocolate. The Orangerie will be filled with local artists who have created an array of handmade gifts for sale including jewelry, pottery, fiber art, photography, and more.
Ogden Nature Center Holiday Open House -Saturday, December 6 from 9-4 pm at the Ogden Nature Center. Enjoy holiday shopping, artisan crafts, free gift wrapping, a bake sale, and kids crafts. Also for sale will be fresh holiday swags and centerpieces. Admission is Free.
Swan Eco Center Open House (Park City) – Saturday, December 6 from 1-4 pm. There will be holiday shopping and eco-friendly kids crafts. We will also be collecting new pairs of women's socks to be donated to the Peace House December 31st.
City Library Holiday Celebration (Salt Lake) – Saturday, December 6 from 11-5:30 pm at The City Library. Join The City Library for our annual Holiday Celebration! Enjoy seasonal films, music, and activities, all while preparing for the holidays with help from the Shops at Library Square. Admission is Free.
Winter Wonderland (North Logan) – Saturday, December 6 at 7 pm at George S Eccles Ice Center. Skaters will be skating to Holiday Favorites. Free to the public, but requesting cans of food.
Ephraim Light Parade – Saturday, December 6 at 6 pm on Main Street.
Community Sing-Along (Clinton) – Saturday, December 6 at 5 pm at Parkside Elementary School. Santa will also attend and light up the lights in the round-a-about. Refreshments served. Admission is free.
International Children's Choir Holiday Concert (Salt Lake) – Saturday, December 6 at 4:30 & 7:30 pm at Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Admission is Free.
Messiah Sing-Along (Murray) – Saturday, December 6 at 7:30 pm at Murray High School. Presented by Murray Symphony. Admission is Free.
Sounds of the Season Concert (South Jordan) – Saturday, December 6 at 7 pm at Bingham High School. Admission is Free.
Scott Voce Concert (Ogden) – Saturday, December 6 at 7 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church (1100 E 5500 S). The singers of Sotto Voce are one of Utah’s premiere vocal quartets. Admission is Free.
Holiday Concert (Salt Lake) – Sunday, December 7 at 7 pm at All Saints Episcopal Church (1710 S Foothill Dr.). Admission is Free.
Willow Park Zoo Reindeer Trek (Logan) – November 29 – December 6 at Willow Park Zoo. Includes games for kids, holiday decorations and displays, and, of course, the animals of the zoo. Santa will be there and kids can pet two of the reindeer. Admission is $4/Adults, $2.50/Children.
Trees of Diversity – November 20 – January 31 at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center (1355 W 3100 S). The Trees of Diversity exhibit showcases not only decorated trees, but also gingerbread houses, wreaths, nativities and other holiday scenes. Bring the family on November 21 for the official opening reception and enjoy more than 25 trees decorated by different ethnic arts groups from throughout the valley. Refreshments and music will also be provided. This is a free event.
Utah's Christmas Town Festival (Helper) – November 21 – December 6. From the Annual Christmas Craft Fair at the Helper Auditorium to December when the Electric Light Parade rolls down Main Street and finishes with a firework display on Friday and Saturday, Dec 5th and 6th.
Elves at Gardener Village – November 22 – December 31. Try your luck with our fun, family-friendly scavenger hunt. Be sure to check your list twice and get all the correct locations for Santa’s little helpers. This a wonderful activity for families, children and youth groups.
