Here's our annual list of Utah Christmas Light Displays. Many displays start this weekend! Check each link to see what dates the light displays run. We've also listed our favorite must see Christmas light displays and activities for Salt Lake City.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please keep in mind that individual residential homes may have changed. We do our best to keep the list updated from year to year, but there may be some changes as the season progresses. We've marked the homes that are unconfirmed for this year with an asterisk and will update them as time progresses.

Hogle Zoo’s ZooLights is something you can’t go wrong with. Runs December 4-January 3. This year the zoo gave out free tickets thanks to a grant, however, they are currently sold out. Watch their Facebook page as they have indicated they may be able to offer more tickets depending upon no shows.

New – Lumaze (Salt Lake) – Run Nov 27-Jan 2 at Utah State Fairgrounds. With seasonal music, food and activities, Lumaze is a festival that will entertain all ages. Cost: Adults/$19.99, Children (4-12), Seniors, Military/First Responders/$14.99. 3 and under free.
New – Cross E Ranch Lights & Nativity Drive Thru (Salt Lake) – Nov 27-Dec 19. After visiting the North Pole you will turn a corner back in time and enter our Nativity Area. Cost: Mon-Thur $19.99/vehicle, Fri-Sat $24.95/vehicle.
New – Maverik Center Drive-In Holiday Laser Show (West Valley) – Runs December 10 – January 2 every Thurs, Fri, & Sat with two shows (6 pm & 8 pm). $30 per vehicle.

Temple Square: This beautiful light display is a Holiday tradition and known worldwide. The lights will only be viewable from surrounding roads and exterior city sidewalks as the plaza will be fenced off and the gates will be closed at 5 pm. The areas East of Temple Square (reflection pond area) are still open and lite up. This year, Temple Square events will be virtual, check this link for events and details.
As long as you’re downtown you may want to check out Macy's in City Creek, where they have a candy window display made entirely of candy.
City Creek Center's Winter Wonderland – Enjoy festive decor and socially distance activities: special holiday selfies, contactless storybook lanterns, giant Christmas tree, and festive lights.
Grand America Due to COVID, this event will only be available for Overnight hotel guests and patrons of the restaurants and The Grand Spa. Enjoy the Grand America's lighting display, holiday windows and gingerbread house. Also, follow the whimsical displays in their retail windows for a special surprise awaiting children once they complete their journey.
Valley Fair Mall The display is set up outside on the west side of the mall in the fountain area and includes a light show to music.
Holiday Lights Tour – Cities from around Salt Lake County are teaming up to bring you a Holiday Lights Tour like never before! Visit homes from South Jordan, Bluffdale, Herriman, Midvale, Millcreek, South Salt Lake, and West Jordan! Gardner Village – Come see the elves display. Kids 12 and under can also complete the Elf Scavenger Hunt.
Taylorsville Christmas Street. Located in Taylorsville this festive neighborhood has been decorating their street for what I believe to be around 20 years (It’s a guess. My kids were really little when we first went). Each is a page in the book of The Night Before Christmas. Christmas Street is located at 3310 West Royal Wood Drive. I couldn’t find a website. *Frosty's Winter Wonderland, 805 E. 18th Avenue, SLC, 6-11 pm
*East Millcreek 2555 E. Neffs Circle (3550 S.) Simple, but elegant light show with over 7,300 lights choreographed to music of all genres! New songs are being added every few days! M-Th 6:00-9:30 – F-Su 6:00-10:30
*Shoop Home: 9179 Granville Cir. Sandy, Utah 84093 Over 17,000 LED lights synchronized to music. Tune your car radio to 99.9 FM and listen to the music from the warmth and comfort of your own car. 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM every night through New Year's Eve.
*Christensen & Hymas: 11693 S 700 E. Draper Richard Holdman engineered the show, featuring over forty-thousand energy-efficient LED lights which light up and “dance” to holiday music. This year, starting just after Thanksgiving, the display will run every night from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm on a rotating schedule. Bring your family, tune into 99.9 FM, and enjoy the show from the warmth of your car.
Draper Tree of Life: in the heart of Draper City Park (12500 S 1300 E) with over 1,000 strands of lights.
*Draper: 1731 E Hidden Valley Dr with lights synchronized to music on two houses.
*Draper: synchronized nativity and lights to popular Christmas songs at 1548 E. Timoney Rd, Draper, UT 84020
*Cottonwood: show runs from 6-10 pm with lights set to music at 1467 East Hollow Dale Dr, Cottonwood Heights.
*Herriman: lights set to songs at 5357 Toscana Way
*Kearns: Lights on Wakefield at 6388 S Wakefield Way, Kearns. Lighting ceremony on Nov 29 with Waffle Love, Mascot Miracles, Nthan's Hot Dogs, and Santa.
*Murray: over 25,000 set to music at 494 W 4800
*Sandy: choreographed lights at 8805 Tracy Dr.
*Sandy: 17,000 lights synchronized to music at 9179 Granville Cir.
*West Valley: Lights go to music every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, also on Christmas Eve and Christmas at 2861 S 3825 W.

Utah County
Clas Ropes Enjoy a lighted riverboat ride on the lower Provo River during December. There are thousands of lights reflecting off the water, holiday scenes along the shore, and Christmas music on the boat. Santa even comes to visit on his canoe. Prices are $9 per person.
Thanksgiving Point Luminaria Experience The Light. Located in Lehi on 3003 Thanksgiving Way, magical holiday world as you make your way through the captivating Ashton Gardens. The Grand Allee’s 8,000 programmable luminaries blanket the sweeping hill, where each one acts as a pixel in a moving picture of blooming poinsettias, flying reindeer, and dynamic symbols of the season. And on top of that 40-foot hill, you’ll be met with the colossal 120-foot tree—all lit up and ready to be admired. View the nativity scene before entering the new Light of the World Garden. Glowing lanterns and peaceful music accompany this space featuring 35 monument- sized bronze sculptures depicting scenes of Jesus Christ from the New Testament. Cost is $17/adult, $13/ages 3-12.
Spanish Fork Festival of Lights at Canyon View Park, 3300 E. Powerhouse Rd. Listen to holiday music while your drive through displays. Cost is $8 per car.

University Place (Orem) – The display includes 30′ tall walk through tree, 75′ archways, the trees in the Orchard and UP logo all covered in 70,000 lights.

Layton City’s display at Layton Commons Park. You can walk through or drive if it’s too cold. One member from each group must check in with the Layton City table for contact tracing purposes.
If you’d like to go extra festive, the Burger Stop (located just outside the park) organizes Hayrides through the light display on Friday’s and Saturday’s in December (except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).
The Lights on Sherwood Dr (Kaysville) – Shows run every night starting at 6 with shows every half hour and ends at 10:30; 1098 Sherwood Dr.
*Clinton: 25,000+ lights set to music at 2481 Hooded Crane Cir.
*Clearfield: lights synchronized to music at 223 N 1400 W
Clearfield Christmas Cottage – 254 W 125 N
Syracuse: Eccles Family Christmas Light Show at 741 St Andrews Dr from 5:30-11:30 pm. Free 40-minute show.

*Syracuse: lights set to 14 songs and runs nightly from 5:30-9pm Sun-Thurs and 5:30-10pm Fri-Sat. Address is 1935 W 2100 S.
Cache County

Weber County

Ogden City Christmas Village, which lights up a Christmas village each year. The Opening Ceremony is held Saturday, November 27. Christmas lights will still glow in the Village and Cottages will still be placed, but many of the normal attractions will be postponed until next year.

Country Christmas at Young Living (Mona) – Nov 27-Dec 23 at Young Living Lavender Farm. Horse-drawn wagon ride through festive Christmas light display. There will also be food trucks, warm fire, and bring your camera to snap a picture of Santa. Cost $5 for ages 4 and up; $25 for groups of 6.
Tooele County

Tooele Lights on 1310 Three neighbors decorate their homes with more than 70,000 lights to synchronized music. Runs 5:30pm to 10pm Sunday thru Thursday and 5:30 to 11pm Friday and Saturday. Santa pays a vist on Friday and Saturday from 6 pm to 8 pm. 426 E 1310 N.
Wasatch County
Pay to See:
Ice Castles (Midway) -Coming again in 2020. Usually, December to early March (depending upon weather). More info to come. Like nothing you have ever seen before, see ice formations with lights.Tickets go on sale in late December.
Washington County
