As many of you know, the hubs and I have started on a fitness journey. We opted to share these posts, in hopes that it will inspire and be helpful for some of you or someone you know. If you missed it, you can read why we started this journey here.
After trying almost everything, and realizing our eating and fitness levels just didn't mesh, we choose to get the help of a professional personal fitness trainer at Fitness Together. They are located just off the 215 Freeway, on 2258 E Fort Union Blvd. It's a convenient location for the Salt Lake area, including Sandy, West Jordan, South Jordan, Holladay, Murray, Midvale and Cottonwood Heights.
Hubs and I have turned our workouts into a date night. Awe, the joy of sweating together, pretty sexy huh?!… Joking aside, folks, I gotta tell you, if you need some motivation, this is something you may want to try. I wish I could go everyday. It's different from any gym experience I've ever had. Our trainer customizes the workouts just for us and works with any special physical obstacle you might have. They also help you with diet (more on that next time).
While there, I have met people from very fit, to those that really need help with weight lose. I've seen elderly as well as young athletic types. Everyone I've talked to swears to the success. You can train alone or get a group together. The facility is small and by appointment only, which makes for a very private environment. There are some great video testimonials on their website.
So, how's it going for us? After 2 weeks, both of us are starting to feel stronger, more energetic. And, I'm learning a lot of new exercises I can do right at home without a bunch of equipment and videos. Hubs is doing GREAT! Working out together, with the one on one guidance of a trainer, is really keeping us motivated throughout the week.
