UTA Bike Bonanza – Friday, May 16 from 4-6 pm at Gallivan Plaza 239 S Main Street. Bring your family and friends. Win bikes, bike accessories, helmets, t-shirts, and more!
Free KUTV Shred Fest – Friday, May 16 from 10:30 am – 6:30 pm at Smith's Mobile Ballpark.
Living Traditions Festival – May 16-18 at Washington Square (450 S 200 E). There will be dancers, musicians, artists and more.
Yuba Lake State Park Zip Line Grand Opening – Saturday, May 17 from 10 am – 2 pm. Help us celebrate by cutting the ribbon on Utah State Parks first ever zip lines! There will be a DJ with great music, and free zip line rides raffled throughout the event. All rides will be discounted to $5. You can also elect to purchase a zip line t-shirt with a ride included for only $10! Food and drink will also be available. Don't miss out on riding our 850 and 650 foot zip lines at half the cost with no day use fees!! Free rides will be announced every 15 minutes.
Patriots Day (Ogden) – Saturday, May 17 from 9 am – 1 pm at Providence Hall Jr. High. There will be fun runs, live music from Kenzie Hall of American Idol, food trucks, carnival and more. All proceeds go towards purchasing buses. Wristbands are $6 or $10 with a pulled pork meal.
Magna History Day – Saturday, May 17 from 10 am – 6 pm. Activities include the Magna Town Orchestra Concert at the Magna Senior Center, Gold panning for the Kids, Rocks and Rockets, Magna Community Choir, Food and More!
Camp Williams 100 Year Celebration (Riverton) – Saturday, July 17 (17800 S Camp Williams Rd, Riverton). Restricted areas of the base will be open to the public for athletic events and activities. There will be police, fire, and military demos, live music, rock wall, bounce houses, food and more. Wristbands are $5 for day access to bounce houses and mini-barrel train, other events are free. All events will raise money for the families of our soldiers.
Traveling Tumbleweeds Film Screening – Saturday, May 17 at 11 am in West Jordan at the Viridian Center (8030 S 1825 W). Features an outstanding selection of animated, documentary, and live-action films from around the world. There will also be a screening at Park City Library at 3 pm (1255 Park Ave.).
Hogle Zoo Military Appreciation Day – Saturday May, 17. We invite our service men and women, veterans and their families to enjoy the Zoo for FREE! Just bring a valid military I.D. to the gate. Military members will also get discounts on concessions.
Armed Forces Day – Saturday, May 17 at Gallivan Center from 4:30 – 10 pm. Enjoy the amazing Choral Arts Society of Utah performing with the Utah National Guard 23rd Army Band and FIREWORKS starting at 9:30pm! This event is free and parking is free at the Wells Fargo Center Parking garage.
Water Safety Fair (Sandy) – Saturday, May 17 at 10 am – 2 pm at Safesplash Utah (10365 S 1300 E). Play games, learn about water safety, and meet Josh the Otter. There will also be several community partners with fun activities.
The Utah Museum of Fine Arts offers FREE admission every 3rd Saturday of the month. This Saturday, May 17 – Let’s use portraits of fantastic people and their costumes as subject matter for puppets. Each of us will make two different characters from the museum to help the paintings “walk and talk” and tell their stories.
MOA Family Workshops (Provo) – Saturdays in March at BYU Museum of Art – Monika Bravo: Landscape of Belief. On any one Saturday of their choice families can take a guided tour of a current exhibition and create a fun, hands-on art project, free of charge.
