I can't believe it's been 10 years since the 2002 Winter Games! Utah is celebrating with some fun events.
On Friday February 17, The community of Kearns “Welcomes the World” once again! Re-live the Winter Olympics with a live Parade of Nations, a Children of Light figure skating performance, sport exhibitions, a torch re-lighting with past and present Speedskating athletes, autographs and photos with athletes, and 2002 Olympic memorabilia.
On Saturday, February 18, 2012, an outdoor sport festival will be held in the streets of The Gateway shopping center in downtown Salt Lake City.During the street festival, participants will have an opportunity to meet winter Olympic athletes, participate in interactive winter sport demonstrations and view commemorative exhibits about the 2002 Winter Games.
Both of these events are FREE and open to the public. You can take a look at all of the events scheduled for this celebration here.

February 14, 2012 at 7:35 amIt’s been really great to be able to celebrate our part in the 2002 olympics. We were volunteers. We worked the opening and closing ceremonies, outside. And we worked Snow Basin. I was working the press gate when the traffic jam happened.
Also, I (Charla Hunt) had the fun time as an interviewerin Ogden. For about a year and a half drove from Garden City(Bear Lake) to Ogden 2 times a week. It was great. We feel kind ot bad because at this time we cannot participate in celebration events except via of T. V. (Kind of short on finances. We LOVED our opportunity.
