Antelope Island Stampede – August 31-September 2 with a ballooning and kite flying festival, music, food, entertainment, fireworks and more. Free to roam – vendors on site and parking fee may apply.
Salt Lake Jazz Festival – September 1-3 at the U of U. Huge day of clinics & performances and Free to all who attend.
Soldier Hollow Classic – August 31-September 3; includes international sheepdog competition, entertainment, splash dog competition, canine acrobats, and more. There will also be pony rides, face painting, dutch oven cooking, and biathlon shooting. Ticket prices range from $7.75-$16.
Swiss Days (Midway) – August 31-September 1, includes a chuck wagon breakfast, parade, entertainment, arts and crafts and more. Admission is free.
Onion Days (Payson) – August 30-September 3, includes parade, children's fair, cook off, car show, competitions and more.

MOA Family Workshops (Provo) – Saturdays in August at BYU Museum of Art – Art Makes Sense! Exploring Taste in Think Flat: Takashi Murakami and Andy Warhol: Selections from the Freedman Family Collection at the BYU Museum of Art. On any one Saturday of their choice families can take a guided tour of a current exhibition and create a fun, hands-on art project, free of charge.
Snowbird Oktoberfest – Snowbird kicks off their annual Oktoberfest this weekend August 18. Admission is free. This event is full of music, dancing, and traditional German cuisine. Kids can enjoy face painting, caricature artist, inflatable rides, and more. Oktoberfest runs weekends and Labor Day through October 7.
Real Salt Lake – Saturday, Sept. 1 at 7pm at Rio Tinto Stadium. Real Salt Lake hosts D.C. United. Ticket prices range from $18-$100.
Daggett Daze & Parade of Lights & Fireworks (Flaming Gorge) – September 1 beginning at 10am with a parade, kids activities and the evening with Parade of Lights and Fireworks display.
Summer Concert Series (Canyons Resort) – Saturday, September 1 at 6pm. Enjoy a free concert, also from 4-6pm there will be activities for kids of all ages, including a mix of face painters, caricature artists, mechanical bulls and more.
