Festivals & Fairs:

HOF Germanfest (Ogden) – January 18 & 19 at Golden Spike Event Center's Exhibit Hall (1000 N. 1200 W.). The festival features authentic German food, booths, and entertainers. Tickets can be purchased here.

Bluff Balloon Festival – January 18-20 at the Bluff Community center. Bluff is a small town located in the San Juan River Valley.

Utah International Auto Expo – January 18-21 at the South Town Expo Center in Sandy.  This automotive event will offer an up-close look at the newest cars, crossovers, trucks, alternative fuel vehicles and more. Tickets are $8/Adults, $6/Seniors, Military, & children 7-12, however, you can get $1 off when you buy an e-ticket here. Family Day is Jan. 20 & 21 – where all children 12 & under are Free.

The Utah Museum of Fine Arts offers FREE admission every 3rd Saturday of the month. This Saturday, January 19 Celebrate Utah’s winter wonderland and solstice with art making, science activities, and fun performances at the UMFA! At this Third Saturday, you can be inspired by their artwork and make a sculpture of your house or another building in your neighborhood.

MOA Family Workshops (Provo) – Saturdays in December at BYU Museum of Art – Art Makes Sense! Exploring Smell in the Museum’s religious collection. On any one Saturday of their choice families can take a guided tour of a current exhibition and create a fun, hands-on art project, free of charge.

Cedar Breaks Free Snowshoe Walks – Saturdays in January & February at the Iron County/Cedar City Visitor Center (581 North Main Street, Cedar City). Participants must make reservations to reserve snowshoes. The hike route is about 2 miles round trip and includes a stop for hot chocolate.

Free National Parks Entrance Day – Monday, January 21 – Entry to any of the National Parks listed here is Free.
