Festivals & Fairs:
Kaysville Nativity Celebration – November 23 & 24 at the historic Kaysville Tabernacle. A FREE event featuring over 300 international nativities and creches and special musical groups.
Vernal Community Holly Days – Friday, November 23 in downtown Vernal. This is a FREE family-friendly event with horse drawn carriage rides, camel rides, professional ice sculpting, pony rides, ice skating, free cotton candy & popcorn, free hot chocolate, entertainment, a visit from Santa Claus, fireworks and much more.
Grand America Lighting Ceremony – Friday, November 23 from 5-7 pm (555 South Main St, Salt Lake City). There will be a tree lighting ceremony, unveiling of their holiday window displays and gingerbread house.
Lighting Up Temple Square – Friday, November 23 at dusk. The annual lighting ceremony will take place. Also, the Tabernacle begins their “Winter Festival of Sound” which take place almost nightly through New Year's Eve. Some events require tickets in advance, others do not.
Light Up The Night at Station Park (Farmington) – Friday, November 23 from 6-8pm at the Village Center. There will be music by Osmands 2nd Generation, tree lighting, Santa arrival & more.
Gallivan Center's Lights On – Friday, November 23 from 5-6 pm at The Gallivan Center. There will be a performance from the One Voice Children's Choir.
Holiday Market at Gallivan – Fridays & Saturdays through December 22 at The Terrace at Gallivan Center. New this year, is a Holiday Market where you can find local and handmade goods.
North Pole Express – Beginning November 23 at the Heber Creeper. Elves serve hot drinks and treats, entertain with carols and Santa climbs aboard. Tickets start at $20/child & $30/adult.
Christmas Elves are now on display at Gardner Village. Take the kids on an Elf Scavenger Hunt and receive a sugar cookie for $0.35 at the Naborhood Baker with their completed form.
Electric Light Parade and Opening Ceremony (Ogden) – Saturday, November 24 at 5:30 pm from Washington Blvd from 22nd Street to 26th Street. The parade is full of elaborate floats and performers. Santa comes in on the last float and flips the magic switch to turn on the lights of Christmas Village. There will also be live entertainment and a firework show.
Valley Fair Mall Tree Lighting & Santa Arrival – Saturday, November 24 at Noon – Santa will make his grand arrival via helicopter. The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at 6 pm.
MOA Family Workshops (Provo) – Saturdays in November at BYU Museum of Art – Art Makes Sense! Exploring Sight in Think Flat: Takashi Murakami and Andy Warhol: Selections from the Freedman Family Collection at the BYU Museum of Art. On any one Saturday of their choice families can take a guided tour of a current exhibition and create a fun, hands-on art project, free of charge.
