Walmart update:
Okay, after much time on the phone. Here's the update on Walmart doubling. The West Jordan Walmart located at 5675 W 6200 S will NOT be doubling coupons. The only stores that double will continue to be the Utah County stores price matching Ridley's.
This is as per the manager. Earlier information was correct, they simply have changed their mind. For now this is the best information I have.
Now, I've wasted a ton of time on this. Smith's should be up later today after my in store check. 🙂

June 8, 2011 at 7:30 pmI heard on the radio that there was a WalMart in Salt Lake that was doubling due to the customers that have moved to Winco to bring their customers back. Has this changed from yesterday on the radio?

June 9, 2011 at 1:23 amTo my knowledge none of the Salt Lake Walmarts are doubling. Which Walmart did the radio say would be doubling?

June 1, 2011 at 12:20 pmSorry, just wanted to throw this in – the cashier told me that they were only doubling coupons up to a $1.00, so my $1 coupon rounded to $2 and that would be the max.

June 1, 2011 at 2:33 pmYup. They doubled for one day. I had someone in the store doing match-ups for next week. Huge waste of time. When I talked to them yesterday they said if you have coupon for a larger amount than $1 they would double it to $1. So a $2 coupon would be worth $3, $3 worth $4 etc. Super exciting. Let’s hope they change their mind again.

June 1, 2011 at 12:15 pmThat is super weird, I just went to that exact Walmart last night to price match and use a coupon that was expiring, I knew nothing about the doubling, but the cashier told me it was double coupon Tues. and I asked “When did this start?” and she said “it just started today!” Just thought I’d let you know. This Walmart is so strange, I once had an internet coupon that wouldn’t scan for the cashier so I had to take it up to customer service and a customer service manager told me they were no longer taking internet coupons! I was super mad, but thankfully that turned out not to be true.
