April 17, 2012 at 10:36 pmI just read your posts on extreme couponing. Thank you for directing me to your policy and responding so diplomatically. It is inspiring to see your work, and I’m sorry for writing so negatively without fully understanding the fine print. Thanks for all you do. I really appreciate your deals and will become a long-term subscriber now.

April 17, 2012 at 6:06 pmI wish you wouldn’t post dishonest deals. The coupons clearly indicate a different product that the ones you pictured. That’s not how couponing should be! Please be honest.

April 17, 2012 at 8:31 pmHey Margaret,
The coupons clearly states in print ANY item and do not include a size limitation. What’s pictured doesn’t matter. If that were the case many of the coupons we see wouldn’t have room for print as they encompass so many products and sizes. What the coupon is for is what is listed in print. If you don’t want to use it on the small size you don’t have to, but I list all available options for those that do. For example, I only feed a family of 2 and I’m happy when I don’t have to buy a big size. This is not a dishonest use of the listed coupons.
Manufacturers put these less restrictive coupons out because they want you to try their product. It’s not a coincidence that the shelves are suddenly filled with small packages of Hostess. They want to wet your appetite so you’ll buy more.
The CIC (http://www.couponinformationcenter.com) has written articles on this subject. That, along with the information provided to me by the many manufacturers I work with, is what I use for my guideline. If you have been with me long, you would know that I am NOT an extreme couponer. I rarely even post a deal that uses more than one coupon. Here are some of my thoughts on the subject. https://www.coupons4utah.com/?s=extreme+couponing&x=0&y=0
I wish you well in your coupon adventure.
