The Utah Blaze is sure to be hotter than ever before as they welcome Coach Mac (Ron McBride) to the team. The cheering starts on March 10th when the Blaze met the San Antonio Talons in San Antonio. The Blaze will bring it home on March 24 for our first home game.

Home & Garden Festival (Sandy) – Scheduled on March 8-12 at the South Town Expo Center. Find fresh ideas and smart advice for gardening, home improvement, decorating & more. Tickets are $10 and children 11 and under are free, however, purchase your tickets online here for a $2 discount.

Cottonwood Canyons Fullmoon Snowshoe Outing (Little Cottonwood Canyon) – Friday, Mar. 3 at 7pm – Alta. Learn about the nocturnal residents of the muntains in winter. This is a Free event, however, participants must bring their own snowshoes and reservations are required – to make a free reservation, call (801) 466-6411.

No Strings Attached Puppetry Festival (Salt Lake) – The Salt Lake Library presents the 10th annual festival on March 10 & 11 at the Main Library. Numerous all-day activities are available including puppet performances, displays of international puppets, workshops, and take and make crafts. Go here for a list of festival events.

Canyons Resort Spring Concert Series – Saturday, Mar. 10 at 3pm there will be a FREE concert from Patwa Reggae Band.

Lakeshore Learning stores offer a free craft every Saturday from 11am-3pm. This Saturday kids can make a Totally Wild Animal Headband. Lakeshore Learning is in The Oakwood Village Shopping Center 5480 S. 900 East.

Kids Science Palooza (Provo) – Saturday, Mar. 10 from 12-3pm at The Center (222 W. 500 N.). Bring the whole family for a Free event that includes a live animal show, mad scientist show, optical illusions, science experiments, demonstrations, take-home projects and more.

Fit Family Initiative is offering a FREE intro to Volleyball basics for kids ages 6-10, held at Murray Park on Saturday, March 10 at 10am. You must pre-register here.

Lowes Build & Grow Kids build a Carnival Hoop this Saturday, Mar. 10 at 10am. Sign up is required and space usually goes quickly. If you miss it, check the site on Saturday’s. That’s usually when they offer new workshops.
