I have a new restaurant to share with you. The new Bonneville Brewery Restaurant & Pub, in Tooele, has opened it's doors for business. I heard great talk about this restaurant so, we grabbed some friends and took a Saturday drive to check it out.
(#1 Kerry cozy fireplace, #2 Bar Upstairs made of recycled glass bottles)
Bonneville Brewery completely remodeled the building that formerly housed the bar Tracks. It's a beautiful restaurant and very welcoming. There are two large outdoor patios that would be great for hosting a wedding rehearsal dinner, birthday or other large social gathering.
I like the layout of the restaurant. The main dining is on the main floor and bar is located upstairs, where you can enjoy a game of pool or a great view of the game. There are several largescreen TVs and 2 pool tables for entertainment, along with, unique pieces of art that tie into the local history of the area. It's tall ceilings and wide open spaces make you feel like you've walked into a beautiful high end social club, but it maintains the warm, welcome home, feeling we all love. The menu prices are easy on the pocket with an average cost of $11 – $15 per entree.
(Tri Tip Southwest Salad)
But, enough about that. Take a look at the food. Bonneville's kitchen is headed by Executive Chef Joe Davis. Chef Joe has over 20 years of experience and it shows. You'll find starter items like Fried Macaroni & Cheese Balls, Smoked Chicken Wings and Caprese salad.
I went straight for the Tri Tip Southwest Salad. The steak was tender and grilled to a perfect medium rare. It has a bean and corn salsa over a bed of mixed greens with avocado. If you enjoy salads, I highly recommend this dish.
(Spicy Black Bean Burger)
My fellow partner in veggie loving crime, went for the Spicy Black Bean Burger. The burger had just the right kick and the pub  style fries are very good. They also have a nice, traditional Fish & Chips. You just can't go wrong with that.
(Chicken Pot Pie)
The star of the evening, though was the Chicken Pot Pie that my friend Kerry had. It's a good thing he loves us all, because we kept going in for sneak tastings. I think he was happy it was so large with of all of us stealing bites. It had nice pieces of chicken in it and had that “took all day” flavor. The rice and puff pastry top gave it just the right amount of starch.
(Fish & Chips)
In summery, you really can't go wrong with this very cool, trendy restaurant. The staff is friendly, there isn't a bad table in the house. It's quite enough to have great conversation. Perfect for an after golf lunch, social gatherings or a romantic dinner. The floor plan makes it comfortable for families and pub goers alike. We live a good 30 minutes away and I'm already planning our next visit.
