Thinking of Our Troops!

Today is a day I think we all are thinking of our Troops serving this great country of ours. Yesterday's tragic news gives us all pause and reminds us of the job they face daily and the ones that don't make it home. So, I thought I would remind everyone how easy it is to send a soldier your thoughts. As I've mentioned before my courageous son in law (we affectionately call Natron) is currently serving in Afghanistan and we were lucky enough to get a very brief  message from him on the 3/3 Battalion's Facebook page today, so many others are still waiting.

Here's a list of what I've learned our troops want most. Click here to learn how to get it to them. You don't even have to leave the house.

• “Real Food” Ramen, Condiments, Tuna, Crackers, Hard Candy. Think of the junk food a college kid wants. That's what reminds them of home.
• Propel and other flavored packets – they have no refrigerated water.
• Kids school supplies – are in very high demand
• Flashlights – They love the little Harbor Freight ones we so easily get free.
• I-pods – If you can afford it. It's the most requested item.

Most of all they want our letters! So, whatcha waiting for? Take a minute with the kids and send a soldier your thanks.
