This is a re-post. I've been sorting through the site, doing some reorganizing and house cleaning and stumbled on this 3 year old post. Today marks it's anniversary. It's seems like a good one to re-share.

By now your probably seeing how easy it is to get useful products for little or no money. Each of the items you see in the picture cost me less than $.50 (remember I only use 1 newspaper, 1 weekly circular and 1 computer). Most of it was free, or very close to it, when I combined sales or clearances with coupons. But how much deodorant does a girl need? It's not like It’s shoes, right
So what to do with all that stuff?
Our friends at the The IMC Dialysis Services, are ALWAYS in need of donations. In the past, our readers have been able to come together to really make a difference with their contributions.
Dialysis patients have a large financial burden because of their illness and often exceed their insurance limits within the first year. Most are on extremely limited budgets.
No donation is too small, if you are able to lend a helping hand, drop off your donation at the IMC Dialysis Services located on 74 west Vine St Murray UT 84107. Contact Kimberly Garcia 801-507-9009. Dialysis patients have special dietary needs, so please no food donations.

The Utah Animal Adoption Center is a no kill shelter for animals of all kinds. They help military families that are deploying with finding adoption for their pets, giving them peace of mind in the knowledge that FIDO will be okay. If you are looking to adopt an animal this is one of the first places I would look. The director, Pam, is an amazing women. As I look at their wish list (link here) I can't help but think that this would be a wonderful service project for Boy or Girl Scout troops to take on.

Family Promise – Family Promise helps displaced homeless families get back on their feet, by providing temporary housing and helping them achieve self sufficiency. Family Promise unites all Utah Churches by bringing them together as volunteers and because of this only .08 of every dollar donated last year went to administrative costs. View Family Promise needs list here.

Utah Ronald McDonald House – Ronald McDonald House provides housing for the families of children with cancer and other serious medical illnesses while they are being treated. When I contacted them about this write up, they told me their biggest need right now was as simple as paper plates. View their wish list here.

Give2TheTroops.com Give 2 The Troops collects your donations, cards and letters and sees that they get safety shipped to our servicemen and women.- As I've mentioned before, I am a very proud Mother-In-Law of a US Navy Corpsman serving a current tour in Afghanistan and I come from a strong Military influenced background (thanks Dad!), so this is a program near and dear to my heart. The founder of this program is a military wife who just wanted to make sure the men and women serving along side her husband knew they were appreciated and missed.
The US Postal Service has a large flat rate box (click to view) that ships for $14.50 no matter the weight ($12.50 if you are sending it to an APO or FPO) and is the perfect size to hold your donation. Make sure you include a card. What a great thing for the kids to help with.
Click here to learn how you can ship to the troops without even leaving the house. Plus, you can go here to find out how to donate your expired coupons to our countries protectors.

These are just a few of the wonderful programs out there. There's nothing like the feeling of dropping off or mailing a care package and knowing you have made someones life a little easier.
My Son-In-Law and his Brother – I'm so proud of them. And, thanks from Coupons4Utah to all of our military men and women and their families for your great service.
If you have a particular charity that's near to your heart, PLEASE feel free to leave a comment. We are looking to make some more of these kinds of posts in the future.
