Children's Book Festival (Provo) – May 6-7 at Provo City Library. Come hear David Wisner talk about his children's books. There will also be activities, crafts, and more. This is a free event, however, tickets for the keynote address can be picked up at the Children's Desk.
Midvale Cinco De Mayo – May 6-7 at Midvale City Park. Includes carnival, bingo, movie in the park, parade, live music and more. Admission is free.
Jordan Landing Summer Concerts (West Jordan) – May 6 at 7 pm at Jordan Landing. Admission is free.
West Jordan Symphony – Friday, May 6 at 7 pm at the Viridian Center. Admission is free.
Salt Lake Festival of Colors – Saturday, May 7 from 11 am – 6 pm at Krishna Temple (965 E 3370 S). Includes music, yoga, color throws, and more. Admission is $5 and kids 12 & under are free.
Cinco De Mayo (East Canyon) – Saturday, May 7 from 11 am – 4 pm at East Canyon State Park. Celebrate with authentic Latin food, interactive booths, Free paddle board, kayak, and canoe rentals. Cost is $10 per car.
Tumbleweeds Screening (Salt Lake) – Saturday, May 7 at 11 am at The City Library. Free screening of Belle and Sebastian.
Utah Stem Expo (Sandy) – Saturday, May 7 from 11 am – 2 pm at South Towne Expo. Hundreds of students will showcase STEM projects. Includes Lego, Robotics, science shows, trivia, and more. Admission is FREE.
Spring Garden Fair (Sandy) – Saturday, May 7 from 9 – 12 pm at Sego Lily Gardens. Wild Wonders will be there with exotic animals, plants, free water conservation kits (while supplies last) and more.
Safe Kids Day (Farmington) – Saturday, May 7 from 10 am – 2 pm at Legacy Events Center. There will be live entertainment, 300 free bike helmets, fire trucks, food trucks and more. Admission is free.
Healthy Kids Day (Taylorsville) – Saturday, May 7 from 2 – 5 pm at YMCA Community Family Center. Fair includes fun outdoor activities for the whole family. Admission is free.
Block Party (Salt Lake) – May 7 at SLC Bicycle Collective. There will be community mural painting, parts sale, bike raffle and more.
State History Open House (Salt Lake) – Saturday, May 7 from 12-3 pm at SLCC South Campus. Fun activities with archaeology, architecture and mapping themes will help kids and families learn a little bit more about Utah’s exciting history. Admission is free.
Draper City Arts and Crafts Festival (Draper) – Saturday, May 7 from 10-4 pm at Draper City Park. Find the perfect Mother's Day gift at Draper's 5th annual arts festival. The festival will feature jewelry, fine art, clothing, accessories, home decor, folk art, live entertainment and more.
Urban Bird Festival (Salt Lake) – Saturday, May 7 at Tracy Aviary. This all-day festival features live musical performances, botanical craft activities, and opportunities to learn and explore the birds and environment around you. Admission is $5.
Excellence in the Community Concert (West Jordan) – Saturday, May 7 at 7 pm at the Viridian Center. Admission is free.
