Salt Lake City Events:
Living Traditions Festival (Salt Lake) – May 20-22 at SLC & County Building & Library Square. This is a free event that includes cultural celebrations through music, dance, foods, and crafts.
Mayor's Bike to Work Day (Ogden & Springville) – May 20; Various city Mayor's will bike to work along with other events, some offer free breakfast. Here's the cities we are aware of with Mayor's Biking to Work: Ogden (meet at the South end of the Dee Events Center at 8 am and breakfast at Ogden amphitheater) and Springville (At the Springville civic center at 10 am with free food, swag, and more).
Trailside Bike Park Shred n BBQ (Park City) – May 20 from 5-8 pm At Trailside Park. There will be free food, music, and plenty of laps in the bike park.
Ogden Bike Park Grand Opening (Ogden) – May 21 from 10 am – 2pm Celebrating three new trails. There will be a lot of activity at the mouth of the canyon. Limited parking at the Bonneville Shoreline trailhead on 12 Street.
Family Birding and Nature Walk (Salt Lake ) – May 21 at 9:30 am at Natural History Museum of Utah. Enjoy this free event with the Great Salt Lake Audubon meeting in the parking lot below the Natural History Museum. There will be a limited number of binoculars available for the walk and light refreshments after the walk.
Water Festival (Orem) – Saturday, May 21 from 10 am – 2 pm at the Central Utah Gardens. Learn about the importance of water as a resource, and discover ways to conserve water indoors and outdoors. Get ideas for your backyard. Enjoy fun activities for the kids. Meet our mascot, H2-Joe, and enter to win prizes (no purchase necessary). Learn water safety. Bring your unused prescription drugs and help keep our water clean.
Farm Fest (Murray) – Saturday, May 21 from 10 am – 2 pm at Wheeler Farm. This free event includes tours, agricultural and farming demos, sheep shearing, blacksmith demos, music and more.
Free Tumbleweed Screening (West Jordan) – Saturday, May 21 at 11 am at the Viridian Center. See a screening of Belle and Sebastian. Recommended for ages 9+.
Pedalpalooza (Herriman) – Saturday, May 21 at 9 am at W&M Butterfield Park. This free event includes a bike rodeo, races, helmet decoration and more.
Mundi Project Free Concert (Salt Lake) – Saturday, May 21 from 3-4 pm at Glendale Library. Free performance by classical guitarist, Gabino Flores.
Hogle Zoo Military Appreciation Day – Saturday, May 21; military and veterans and their families can enjoy the Zoo for FREE. Just bring ID.
Armed Forces Day Concert (Orem) – Saturday, May 21 at 11 am at Orem Public Libary. Admission is free.
Armed Forces Concert (Salt Lake) – Saturday, May 21 at 4:30 pm at Gallivan Center. This is a free concert with Utah National Guard 23rd Army Band.
MOA Family Workshops (Provo) – On any one Saturday of their choice families can take a guided tour of a current exhibition and create a fun, hands-on art project, free of charge.
