Saying Goodbye….
My Daughter & Company have been in town visiting for the last few weeks, before their long journey to their next duty station in Naples Italy. We have had such a good time and I must admit it was awesome to have a little one cluttering up the unused bedrooms that used to be my kids. We made a fun craft projects, messed up the kitchen with Easter dying and cookie making and spilled Play-Doh on the carpet. It was a blast.
Today, we had to load them up and take them to the airport. I've become a bit used to saying goodbye to them, their service has taken them to every corner of the Country. Some of you may even remember the letters for Afghanistan drive we did while he (son in-law) was serving there.
Today however, was MUCH different. In part it was the little ones age. The hugs and kisses flow so freely from her right now. But, having them an ocean away just seems so different. I still have tears in my eyes.
Those of you looking for Smith's deals, they are going to be a little late and thanks so much for understanding.
Does anyone know a good travel agent…… I think I'm going to need one.

April 27, 2012 at 8:40 amOh how my heart feels for you. So great to have them visit I’m sure and even harder to say so long for now. Hess Travel out of Bountiful has been great to work with. Harriet Maizer I believe was who handled my last trip. She gave me lots of really good options including travelers insurance since I was traveling with 2 small children at the time. Good luck I hope you get loads more hugs and kisses from those sweet babes SOON!

April 27, 2012 at 8:33 amI empathize too. My family lives on the east coast. My kids are 10, 7 and 3 and the last time they saw them was two years ago. Skype, phone, mail and packages help but I understand your tears.
