Attention all Smith's shoppers there are new changes happening with Saving Star. Beginning October 1st, 2014, all Kroger affiliate stores will transfer over to their NEW system for reimbursement from SavingStar.
The system now will stay in effect through 9/30/14 – scan your Smith's shoppers card at checkout and the offer amount will be deposited into your account within 7-22 days.
Beginnng October 1st, 2014 – you will need to take a photo of your receipt just like you would at Walgreens, Walmart, Target etc.
“The way you save at Kroger-owned stores will soon change. Starting October 1, Kroger will transition from an “automatic” (loyalty card) retailer and instead participate as a receipt-scanning retailer. This means that you will redeem SavingStar offers at all Kroger-owned stores by submitting a picture of your receipt instead of linking SavingStar offers to their loyalty card. This change impacts all Kroger-owned stores, including: Kroger, Dillons, Baker’s, Gerbes, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, JayC, King Soopers, City Market, PayLess, Owen’s, QFC, Ralphs, and Smith’s. This was a corporate decision made by Kroger.”
I think this is going to be a good change. The savings actually reflect in your account much sooner, and are much easier to keep track of. If you have not yet signed up for SavingStar you are missing out!
