The new West Jordan Library, located on 8030 S. 1825 W., will be celebrating it's grand opening this Saturday, June 2.
Join them for a FREE Reading Kickoff Party from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. There will be free live music, entertainers, activities, exhibitors, a giant inflatable playground and crafts for the kids. Families are invited to bring blankets and a picnic lunch to enjoy in the Park.
You will also be able to sign up for the Summer Reading program at the party. The summer reading program will included events like Corbin Maxey “The Reptile Guy” who will give you up-close encounters with some of the world's most unusual reptiles. Magic Mike, who combines mind-boggling illusions with education messages and more. Plus, kids will be have the opportunity to earn credits through reading to put towards overdue book fines.
If you can't make it to the Grand Opening, you may want to stop by your Salt Lake County Library location, sign up begins on Friday, June 1st.
