Here's our annual list of Utah Christmas Light Displays. Many displays start this weekend! Check each link to see what dates the light displays run. We've also listed our favorite must see Christmas light displays and activities for Salt Lake City.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please keep in mind that individual residential homes may have changed. We do our best to keep the list updated from year to year, but there may be some changes as the season progresses.

Hogle Zoo’s ZooLights is something you can’t go wrong with. Runs December 6-10, 13-19, 20-23, 26-30. Members receive a $3 discount.
Christmas in Color(South Jordan) Opens November 18 – January 1. Cost is $35 online. Discount: Use code: COUPON15 to save 15% off online.
Festival of the Seas (Sandy) – Starts November 24 at Loveland Planet Aquarium. Discover both beautiful light displays throughout the plaza, and stunning light shows on the incredible EECO, set to some of our holiday favorites. Enjoy seasonal treats and shopping at the Gingerbread Village Under the Sea. Enjoy some hot coco by the fireside. All while being entertained by spectacular street performers and characters.
World of Illumination Candy Rush (Salt Lake) – Begins Nov 18; Worlds largest drive thru animated lightshow. $39.99 per vehicle $49.99 per vehicle on weekends.
Lightwalk (Salt Lake) – Runs November 25-January 1 at Liberty Park. The worlds largest Christmas Light Maze awaits you and all the selfies your camera will hold.

This is The Place Candlelight Christmas – December 7-23 Mon-Sat. Tickets $8-$10.

Temple Square: Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah, will be open to the public this Christmas season with displays and limited lights. Construction and the COVID-19 pandemic have modified some of the plans for this year’s celebration, but families are invited to walk around parts of the grounds (see map) and experience an animated nativity in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. Virtual opportunities to experience Christmas on Temple Square and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ are also available during the holidays.
As long as you’re downtown you may want to check out Macy's in City Creek, where they have a candy window display made entirely of candy.
Grand America(Salt Lake) starting Nov 1, The Holiday Stroll begins at the Ladies’ Boutique and ends at JouJou, Children’s Boutique. No treat will be given this year.
Valley Fair Mall The display is set up outside on the west side of the mall in the fountain area and includes a light show to music.
Holiday Lights Tour – TBA Cities from around Salt Lake County are teaming up to bring you a Holiday Lights Tour like never before! Visit homes from South Jordan, Bluffdale, Herriman, Midvale, Millcreek, South Salt Lake, and West Jordan! Gardner Village – Come see the elves display. Kids 12 and under can also complete the Elf Scavenger Hunt.
Taylorsville Christmas Street. Located in Taylorsville this festive neighborhood has been decorating their street for what I believe to be around 20 years (It’s a guess. My kids were really little when we first went). Each is a page in the book of The Night Before Christmas. Christmas Street is located at 3310 West Royal Wood Drive. I couldn’t find a website. Clas Ropes Enjoy a lighted riverboat ride on the lower Provo River during December. There are thousands of lights reflecting off the water, holiday scenes along the shore, and Christmas music on the boat. Santa even comes to visit on his canoe. Prices are $10-12 per person.

Thanksgiving Point Luminaria Experience The Light. Located in Lehi on 3003 Thanksgiving Way, magical holiday world as you make your way through the captivating Ashton Gardens. The Grand Allee’s 8,000 programmable luminaries blanket the sweeping hill. View the nativity scene before entering the Light of the World Garden. Glowing lanterns and peaceful music accompany this space featuring 35 monument- sized bronze sculptures depicting scenes of Jesus Christ from the New Testament. Cost starts at $24/adult, $17/ages 3-12.
Spanish Fork Festival of Lights at Canyon View Park, 3300 E. Powerhouse Rd. Listen to holiday music while your drive through displays. Cost $10/car, $25/large passenger van, $50/bus.

University Place (Orem) – The display includes 30′ tall walk through tree, 75′ archways, the trees in the Orchard and UP logo all covered in 70,000 lights.

Layton City’s display at Layton Commons Park. You can walk through or drive if it’s too cold. One member from each group must check in with the Layton City table for contact tracing purposes.
If you’d like to go extra festive, the Burger Stop (located just outside the park) organizes Hayrides through the light display on Friday’s and Saturday’s in December (except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).

Ogden City Christmas Village, which lights up a Christmas village each year. The Opening Ceremony is held Saturday, November 25. Christmas lights will still glow in the Village and Cottages will still be placed, but many of the normal attractions will be postponed until next year.

Ice Castles (Midway) -Coming again in 2023. Usually, December to early March (depending upon weather). More info to come. Like nothing you have ever seen before, see ice formations with lights.
Holiday Lights Wagon Rides – Prices are $30, kids 3 and younger are free. Rides are approx. 40 min. Book early, these are very popular and sell out.
Washington County
