The opening ceremonies for the 2018 Summer Olympic Games are tomorrow. Since the Winter Olympics only come around every four years, why not celebrate?! These 3 Quick and Easy Olympic Themed Treats make the perfect munchies during the opening ceremonies or my favorite, figure skating!
Dazzle everyone with these metallic, Edible Gold Medals. The trick is simple, Wilton metallic gold food coloring spray. You can buy it at Michael's craft store using a coupon or at Walmart near the party supplies.
- Spray Golden Oreos with the Wilton Gold spray. 2. Let the cookies dry 5-10 minutes. 3. Cut 13″ lengths of red, white and blue ribbon. Attach the end of the ribbon to the other end of the ribbon with canned vanilla frosting. 4. Attach cookie to ribbon with a dab of frosting.
One of the great things about these cupcakes is that you can make them for just a few dollars and your home printer.
*These printable circles were made for the 2016 Rio Olympics but only one of them says “RIO”, all of the others can be used for any Olympic games.
- Start by making a batch of your favorite cupcakes. While they cool, print these ADORABLE Olympic cupcake toppers over at Mirabelle Creations. 2. I like to print out cupcake toppers on cardstock or photo paper 3. Cut out the toppers with a 2″ punch or with scissors. 4. Tape craft sticks or sucker sticks on the back of the toppers. Insert into frosted cupcakes.
These Olympic Ring Sugar Cookies are as tasty as they are easy! Just 3 ingredients and a few minutes is all it takes.
1. Bake a batch of sugar cookies, using refrigerated cookie dough. 2. When the cookies are almost cool, cut a hole in each cookie to make a ring. (I didn't have a cookie cutter the right size, so I looked around the kitchen and found this lid from our maple syrup was just the right size!) 3. Let the cookie rings cool completely. 4. Frost with white, canned frosting and top with M&M's in the colors of the Olympic rings.
