I am a stay-at-home mom in Sandy, Utah with a husband and 5 children ages 20; 18; 16; 13; and 10. I am new to using coupons all the time. I am wondering how many sets of coupons would be a good start for me (I don’t want to spend all day cutting coupons). Also, why would I want electronic papers if I can’t use the coupons?
Hi Sherri, You don’t need the electronic paper. There’s no reason what so ever unless you want to read it. As to how many papers you get, there is no simple answer. I always just say go with one, especially if you have easy access to a printer. Follow the websites you like and when a sale on something comes up that you might want more than one coupon either purchase another copy or ask a neighbor. You have a lot of hungry mouths to feed right now and if you really want to get into the multiple coupon savings you’ll know as time progresses. I hope that helps.
One Smith’s Gift card comes with each 52 week Trib or Deseret subscription. If you take the 26 week offer you don’t get the $5 gift card unless you take a second copy. Then you only get 1 gift card.
I live in the St. George area. What subscriptions would you suggest that I get to get the best deal and coupons. thanks and I appreciate all you do to inform about all the best deals!
From what I’ve heard The Spectrum is pretty pricey and they have a delivery fee. I don’t have a group rate for them so, I’m really not sure. You may want to call and check just to be sure.
That pretty much leaves you with the Trib or Deseret News. They both have the same coupons.
Consider carefully before you order more than one. Clipping that many coupons can become a chore and a lot of people don’t stick with it. It really depends on you, your family size, how serious you want to get and how organized you are.
I find I can usually find the extra coupons I want online. But, I only feed two and I have easy access to a printer. If your family is large you may want a 2nd or 3rd copy. Hope that helps.
No, If you live in Utah County and get the Daily Herald. You’ll get the Redplum ads in it. The Trib, DN and OS don’t get Redplum circulars in them.
If you don’t live in Utah County then your Redplum coupon circular comes in the mail on Tuesday or Wednesday. Aside from that they all get the same circulars. But, sometimes the coupons in the circulars vary just a little. Every once in a while SL County will get a coupon that the rest of the state doesn’t get or gets later on.

June 14, 2011 at 8:43 pmNo, the coupons come from Smart Source and PG etc. That’s an awesome idea though.
