Here's a fun event for this weekend! Through tomorrow (11/18), get discount tickets to the Apolo Ohno Inivtational speed-skating event at EnergySolutions Arena. Scheduled for Friday, November 21, at 7 pm. There are two options available:
- $9 for one upper-bowl seat (a $19.40 value)
- $13 for one lower-bowl seat (a $31.20 value)
Ticket includes all fees. This is such a fun event to watch. Marvel at some of the world's top speed skaters. The event will feature 14 white-knuckle races—eight semi finals and six finals—plus a warm-up race starring some of Utah’s most adored sports mascots. Plus, to amp up the energy inside EnergySolutions Arena, a live DJ will crank out bumping tunes amid theatrical light displays.

November 17, 2014 at 6:35 pmWhen I first discovered speed skating with that lightening fast body and I was hooked. It was Salt Lake City. When he retired I still watch it when TV shows it. Wish they did more. Hard when he left competitive skating. Miss him a lot.Hope he’ll be skating at this. I think you should broadcast if it isn’t already. I’m in Seattle (yes, home of Apolo) and want to see it so bad. Or even show it on the Web so we can see it. It sounds like it’s going to be blast and wish I could be there. Have a good time with your event. I’ll be thinking of you all if I can’t find a way to watch it. You could even tape on DVD. I’d buy it! Have a fun time but then again how could not having Apolo back on ice!
