I live in the land of Fireworks Wars. I'm sitting here at home looking out off my back patio. There are two neighbors a few streets down, that seem to have a fireworks friendly feud going on.
Since July 1st, each and every night both have gone fireworks wild! Every evening the show begins at 9 pm sharp. First fireworks to the north, then an answer from the south. Both neighbors setting off what seems to be $1,000's of dollars worth of illegally gained fireworks each and every night.
It's like Christmas light wars in July and actually, has been quite lovely. My once “scaredy cat” DOG, has seemed to become used to them. He is currently laying at my feet rather than taking retreat to his hidy hole in the the laundry room. An occasional token “woof” is his only reply tonight.
Tonight seems to be the finale. And, I must say I've enjoyed the display as much as any I've seen, next to Disneyland of course.
I'll miss the Fireworks War each night. It seems to signify the end of summer. A special thanks goes out to my Fireworks War neighbors. Well done! I enjoyed the show. Here's hoping everyone had a glorious July. Cheers 😀

July 25, 2011 at 11:34 pmI love the new aerial fireworks! (Well.. not exactly new, but legal!) My neighbors and I each pitched in some money and had a spectacular fireworks show. It’s such a great way to get together to celebrate the 4th and 24th of July.

July 25, 2011 at 11:05 pmI love it! I wish my neighbors in Sandy wouldve done the same. Instead one behind me keeps setting off what sounds like cannons that only produce smoke. Pretty lame. With the new laws here I bet its been quite the show. Cheers to next July!
