Are you using ShopKick yet? I wrote this post a while ago and thought, with Christmas approaching, it was a good time for an update and reminder.
If you need a few extra shopping dollars (who doesn't right?) Check out Shopkick. Shopkick is a mobile app that rewards you for simply walking in the door of a store. The app is user friendly and easy to figure out.
When you launch the shopkick app on your phone it will pull up a bunch of stores that are close to you. Some of the stores will offer walk-in kicks, the stores change from day to day so, watch your messages. Then simply open the app and walk in the front door of the store with the offer, wait for a second, the Shopkick app will recognize you are there and give you between 25-200 kicks JUST FOR WALKING IN THE DOOR.
Stores like Target, Walmart, Crate & Barrel, Best Buy and more are participating! Plus, once inside the store, you'll often find opportunities to earn more points by scanning the bar codes of certain products. Just last weekend, I earned 400 very quick kicks at Best Buy, while picking up an order. It took less than 5 minutes.
The Kicks then convert to FREE gift cards for stores like Target, Macy's and Lowes you can even use them to snag FREE fuel gift cards, movie gift cards and FREE Papa John's gift cards, the choice is yours.
I'd consider myself a casual ShopKicker, and don't usally make special trips for kicks and I have earned several gift cards while out and about, doing my regular shopping. It's surprising how quickly they add up.
During my ShopKick adventures, I've met numerous hard core ShopKickers (several have been Coupons4Utah readers), that have shared stories of earning $100's of gift card awards. There seems to be a little ShopKick club of sorts, where they leave the scanable products in easy position for the next ShopKicker that comes along.
ShopKick is fun and something the whole family can get in on. It only takes 2,500 kicks to earn a $10 Target or Lowe's gift card. This fun and rewarding app is definitely one to check out!
