Utah has so many great summer programs, activities and summer classes and camps. Here's a list of some summer activities for kids that we favor. Free Fishing Day – June 8, 2024 there is no license required to fish.
Barnes and Noble – Kids read at least 8 books and record them in the Barnes & Noble Journal will earn a free book.
Utah State Fair Read and Win: Kids must read 10 books to receive special goodies from the State Fair. Included is a free admission pass, concession coupon and more
Splash Pads – Cool off with this comprehensive list of 60+ Utah Splash Pads in Utah.
Home Depot – Kids workshops have started back up.
Geo-Caching – Use the free Geo-Caching app. to find secret hidden boxes. Log in and leave something special in the box.
Wheeler Farm – Fun place to learn about farm animals. There is no admission fee to enter. But, there are fees for activities such as wagon rides, milking the cow and other special events.
Liberty Park – The park has trails, playgrounds, a pond, paddle boat rentals, amusement rides and a great place for water play area. Take a picnic and enjoy the day on the cheap.
Murray City Park – Summer Children Matinee Series are free every Thursday at 2 pm in Murray Park Pavilion 5 from June-July.

FREE* Apple Camp – this year, kids ages 8-12 can take part in a virtual camp. Shows your Camper new ways to create in video, art & design, and coding. Registration for virtual camps has not opened yet.
FREE* West Jordan Conservation Garden Park – Various camps throughout the summer. Register early, these fill up.
Wheeler Farm Summer Camp – Activities include Cow Milking, Gathering Eggs, Farm Chores, Horseback Riding and more. These camps fill up quickly. Reserve early.
Tracy Aviary Avian Adventure Summer Camp – Join Tracy Aviary’s bird experts for an Avian Adventure during week-long summer camps for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade! They offer both full-day and half-day camps. In addition to in-person camps, they are offering virtual camp experiences throughout the summer.
The Leonardo Summer Camp – Summer camps are open. Your child will encounter academically and socially interesting topics that engage in multi-disciplinary themes. Suitable for grades 1-8.
