Fairs & Festivals:

Kimball Arts Festival – August 2-8 at Park City Main Street. Featuring over 200 artists, plus live bands, wine and beer gardens, exhibitions and gallery strolls. The Park City Kimball Arts Festival takes place on Park City’s historic Main Street. Ticket prices are $5-10.

Raspberry Days at Garden City – August 1-3. The festival is a fun filled 3 days with the Little Miss Berry Pageant, the craft fair with continuous entertainment, the Parade on the Boulevard, the Rodeo and 5K run in Laketown, the Pancake Breakfast at the Garden City Park, dances, and ending with the fireworks on the Beach.

Springville World Folkfest – July 29-August3 at Spring Acres Arts Park (620 S 1350 E, Springville). Folk dancers and musicians travel from countries around the world to attend the Springville Folkfest, which has grown to become one of the largest festivals of folk dance and music in the United States.

Wasatch County Fair – July 27 – August 3. There will be a demolition derby, parade, rodeo, carnival and more.

Santaquin Orchard Days – July 30 – August 4. There will be a parade, talent in the park, movie in the park and more.

Highland Fling – July 27 – August 3 with Pancake Breakfast, Parade, Vendor Booths, DUP Cabin Camp Cabin Tours, Highland Youth City Council Kids Zone (inflatables), Fireman’s Spray, all day Heritage Park Stage Entertainment followed by Fireworks!

The Springville World Folkfest – August 2 & 3 – Folk dancers and musicians travel from countries around the world to attend the Springville Folkfest, which has grown to become one of the largest festivals of folk dance and music in the United States.

Emery County Fair – August 2 & 3 -Enjoy live music from Chase Rice and Morgan Frazier, Desertview Pro Rodeo, swimming, parades, foods, zumba dancing, movies and so much more!

Butch Cassidy Day Fair and Rodeo – August 2 in Junction – Come celebrate Butch Cassidy days with a cornucopia of family activities including: art competition, Horse Fun Day, Water Day, live music, a salsa bar, and of course, a rodeo! Admission is Free.

Cove Fort Days – August 2 & 3 at Cove Fort – Free activities and food, entertainment, stage coach and horse drawn wagon rides, plus, free hot dogs and drinks!  This is a free event.

Downtown Provo's Rooftop Concert Series – Enjoy a FREE concert Friday nights on top of the Central Bank parking terrace (100 W 100 N, Provo).

Canyons Concerts – Canyons will have FREE Saturday Summer Concerts from July 20 – August 21 starting at 6pm.

The Homestead & Zermatt Summer Concerts & Cowboy Campfires: During the Summer each Friday and Saturday at 8:30pm, there will be FREE Cowboy Campfires. They are also holding FREE Summer Concerts throughout the Summer.

Red Butte Concert Series: Medeski Martin & Wood with the John Scofield's Überjam Band on Sunday, August 4

Hellfire Rocket Launch – August 1-4 at Bonneville Salt Flats  (Take Exit 4 on I-80 and follow easy-to-spot signs.). Hellfire is a popular family activity and a sure crowd-pleaser. Between launches, spectators examine rockets close-up and visit with experts as they assemble and program them for flight. Admission is FREE and the public is welcome. Launches start each day around 9 a.m., subject to weather. Bring binoculars, hats, folding chairs, bottled water, portable shade and lots of sunscreen.

Salt Lake Parade of Homes – August 2-17. Ticket prices are $15, however, you can save $5 by ordering tickets online here enter code MEDIA14 to get the lower price.

Hispanic Fiesta Day – Saturday, August 3 at the Gallivan Center. We gathered twenty two countries to share their beautiful dances, live music, and of course delicious food. A free event for the family.

Day of Hope Car Show – Saturday, August 3 from 12-4:30pm at West Jordan's Memorial Park (8020 S Rosa Park Dr). There will be amazing cars, the best food trucks in SL will compete to win Food Truck Wars, live music and more.

Megaplex Theaters have started selling tickets for their Kids Summer Movies Series. Pay $12 for 12 classic PG rated family films over 12 weeks. Summer Movies begin the last week in May and can now be purchased at Guest Services.

Cinemark Theaters  – Get a pass for 10 movies for just $5 bucks! You’ll want to get your pass right away! Cinemark: $5 Series punch cards are limited and are now available only at the theatre box office while supplies last. Admission with a series punch card is limited to one person per card per movie, and valid only at the theater where purchased. All films that have been selected are rated either G or PG.

Here’s another great program to help keep the kids busy this summer and it’s free! Register for the KidsSkateFree.com program where kids can get free skating passes at participating locations nationwide. Utah’s only participating location is Classic Fun Center in Sandy.

Select bowling centers and schools around the country are participating in Kids Bowl Free program. This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer. Each bowling center will have their own age limits and shoe rental information. Bowling is completely FREE.

AMF has launched their Summer Unplugged program. At AMF, kids 15 and under can bowl for free all summer. Each registered child will have two free games per day waiting for them at the center through September 2, 2013, based on lane availability. In Utah the participating AMF Bowling Center is Ritz Classic Lanes on 2275 South State.
