Trees of Diversity – November 21 – December 31 at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center (1355 W 3100 S). The Trees of Diversity exhibit showcases not only decorated trees, but also gingerbread houses, wreaths, nativities and other holiday scenes. Bring the family on November 21 for the official opening reception and enjoy more than 25 trees decorated by different ethnic arts groups from throughout the valley. Refreshments and music will also be provided. This is a free event.
Macy's Believe Campaign – stores are promoting a “Believe” campaign where children can drop off their letters to Santa at any Macy’s store. Just look for the red drop box. For each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Elves at Gardener Village – November 22 – December 24. Try your luck with our fun, family-friendly scavenger hunt. Be sure to check your list twice and get all the correct locations for Santa’s little helpers. This a wonderful activity for families, children and youth groups. Print your elf hunt form beginning November 22, 2013.
Holidays in Historic Park City – December 15 – 23 – Parking is Free on Historic Park City, Vote for the best Window Display, enjoy strolling Santa and Mrs. Claus joined by a juggling elf, holiday carolers and more.
Dickens Christmas Festival – December 11-14 at South Towne Expo Center in Sandy. Admission is $7/Adults, $6/Seniors & $5/Children 4-12. The sights and sounds of 19th Century London come alive at Dickens. The Festival is known for its unique gifts, entertainment and Christmas experience!
Free Polar Express Movie, Breakfast & Santa – Salt Lake Film Society is providing a free screening of holiday classics at Broadway Centre (111 E 300 S, Salt Lake). The first film included is The Polar Express – Saturday, December 14 at 10 am for Waffles & Santa and the film begins at 11 am.
Parade of Gingerbread Homes (Logan) – Saturday, December 14. Come downtown and help choose who wins the big prize by voting for your favorite edible wonderland. Admission is free.
Gingerbread House Festival (Daybreak) – Saturday , December 14 at Garden Park clubhouse in South Jordan's Daybreak community. Vote for your favorite gingerbread masterpieces, go on a scavenger hunt, decorate sugar cookies, and take pictures with Santa. If you would like to enter the Gingerbread House Contest for a chance to win $1,000, go here.
Camp Floyd State Park Christmas In The Night Time Sky – Saturday, December 14 from 4 – 6:30 pm. The free firework show will start at 5 pm with the grand finale to music at approximately 6 pm. Santa will be arriving on a fire truck and will be available to meet with the kids from 4 to 6 pm. Fires will be provided to keep spectators warm while enjoying the firework show. Hot chili, cocoa and apple cider will be available for everyone who attends. Spectators are asked to bring an unwrapped toy as a donation to the Secret Santa program of Utah County.
An Old Fashioned Family Holiday (Ogden) – December 14 from 6 – 8 pm at 40th Street Park. Enjoy Free Chili Dinner, Warm Drinks, Entertainment, Mayor's Tree Lighting, Cozy Bonfires, and Pictures with Santa.
