There are various Earth Day & Arbor Day Events around the State:

Red Butte Garden FREE Arbor Day Event – Friday, April 26 from 9 am – 3 pm. This is a FREE Admission Day thanks to ZAP!

Draper City Earth Day – Saturday, April 27 from 10 am – 2 pm at Draper City Park (12500 S 1300 E). Bring your reusable and recyclable items. The event will include music, food, Day Barn Open House, Tree Planting and more. This is a FREE event.

Swaner Eco Center Earth Day Celebration (Park City) – Saturday, April 27 from 12 pm – 2 pm (1258 Center Drive, Park City). There will be activities and displays for the whole family. Scavenger hunts on the Swaner trails, information tables, indoor activities and more. This is a FREE event open to all ages.

Hogle Zoo Party for the Planet – Saturday, April 27 from 10 am – 2 pm. Celebrate the earth with animal enrichment, information booths and more. Regular zoo admission applies, however, you can save $1 when you bring an old cell phone to recycle or there is $1 off coupon here.

National Parks Service is offering Free Entrance on April 22-26. Entry is free to any of the National Parks listed here, on the days listed below.

Zion Discovery Day – Saturday, April 27 from 10 am – 3 pm at Zion's Nature Centre. The event will include traditional music, art demonstrations, children's activities and information on park resources.

Discover The Dinosaurs – April 26-28 at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy. There will be Dinosaur Exhibit, Dino Dig, Dino Den, Dino Theater, Rides, Inflatables and more. Admission is Adults/$17, Children Exhibit Plus/$20, Children Exhibit Only/$12, however, there is a $2 discount if you purchase your tickets online here.

Discovery Gateway Children's Museum – Enjoy $5 admission after 5 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and all day Sundays. Just print out coupon or bring it on your mobile device.

MOA Family Workshops (Provo) – Saturdays in March at BYU Museum of Art – michael whiting: 8-bit modern. On any one Saturday of their choice families can take a guided tour of a current exhibition and create a fun, hands-on art project, free of charge.

Classic Fun Center (Sandy, Layton, or Orem) – Pay $10 for water-park or skating day for TWO with pizza and soda or pay $18 for FOUR.

Blue Sky Adventures Scenic Wagon Ride (Park City) – Pay $75 ($150 value) for a scenic wagon ride with lunch for TWO. There is also an option for four or six.

The Dinner Detective (Embassy Suites in Salt Lake or West Valley) – Pay $79 ($165 value) for a Murder-Mystery dinner for TWO and Two mugs. The menu features hors d’oeuvres; a caesar salad; an entree of chicken, a pork chop, or vegetarian mushroom ravioli; and a dessert of chocolate-mousse cake. All shows take place on Saturday evenings at 6:15 p.m.

Scales and Tails (West Valley) Pay $29 ($76 value) for a 3-month family membership.

CLAS Ropes Course (Provo) Pay $25 ($52 value) for a 2-hour canoeing and climbing adventure for TWO.

Jupiter Bowl (Park City) Pay $40 ($137 value) for a party package for up to six. includes shoe rental, 90 min bowling, 18″ cheese pizza, soda pitcher, and cookies.

Utah Museum of Contemporary Art Membership – Pay $24 ($50 value) for a dual/family annual membership or $19 ($40 value) for an individual annual membership.

Country Explosion 2013 – Pay $49 for a general admission to all three days scheduled July 19 – 21 at Millersports Park in Tooele. Or you can pay $36 for a ticket on Friday, July 19.

Weekend Get-a-ways:

Southwest Utah Hotel – Pay $99 ($170 value) for a 2-night stay in a Family Suite with Sunday-Wednesday stay or pay $119 for a Thurs-Sat stay. Hotel has two pools, two hot tubs, a playground and includes a hot breakfast. Family Suite include a kitchenette, two queen beds, and a jetted tub.

The Cabins at Bear River Lodge (Summit County) – Pay $199 ($578 value) for a 2-night stay in a 1-bedroom cabin. Also rent an ATV for $60 (reg. $120).

Park Plaza Resort in Park City – Pay $98 ($280 value) per night with a 2-night minimum stay in a studio room with one queen bed.

Hampton Inn – Snatch up a one night stay at Hamption Inn in Salt Lake City or Lehi for only $49. Your stay includes free Breakfast and kids stay free. You can combine these for multiple nights. These are limited and subject to availability, reserve early for best dates.

Megaplex Theaters have started selling tickets for their Kids Summer Movies Series. Pay $12 for 12 classic PG rated family films over 12 weeks. Summer Movies begin the last week in May and can now be purchased at Guest Services.

Cinemark Theaters  – Get a pass for 10 movies for just $5 bucks! You’ll want to get your pass right away! Cinemark: $5 Series punch cards are limited and are now available only at the theatre box office while supplies last. Admission with a series punch card is limited to one person per card per movie, and valid only at the theater where purchased. All films that have been selected are rated either G or PG. 

Scera Cinema Series (Orem) – Has a Kids Summer Matinee Program where you can buy one series for $7 or both series for $12. They will also be offering a Double Delight Treat Combo for $1 where you can pick any two items (popcorn, candy or drink).

Pottery Barn Kids  – Saturday, April 20-22 Earth Day Celebration. Come in for a FREE packet of seeds for kids to plant at home (while supplies last).

Lowes Build & Grow Sign up now for May 11 & June 8 workshops. These fill up quickly, so you will want to sign up as soon as these workshops become available.

Home Depot – On Saturday, there is a Free DIY workshop at 10:15-11:30 am. Register online here.

Lakeshore Learning stores offer a free craft every Saturday from 11am-3pm. This Saturday kids can Make-A-Face Puppet. Lakeshore Learning is in The Oakwood Village Shopping Center 5480 S. 900 East.
