Fairs & Festivals:

Taylorsville Dayzz – June 27-29 at Valley Regional Park (5100 S 2700 W). There will be breakfast, a parade, car show, carnival, entertainment and fireworks.

Park City Cycling Festival – June 28-30 at Park City Mountain Resort. There will be maintenance clinics, townie rides & bike parade and more. Free & open to the public (some registration fees apply).

Groovefest and Cedar City Arts Festival – June 24-30 at Downtown Cedar City. Enjoy American music with blues & folk, bluegrass & country western, americana, jazz and more. The event is free with the exception of some workshops.

Panguitch Valley Balloon Rally – June 27-30. There will be a breakfast, inflatable rides, face painting, entertainment, balloon launch and balloon glow.

Heritage Days (Syracuse) – June 24-29.  There will be a carnival, breakfast, magic show, movie night, parade, entertainment, fireworks and more.

Elk Ridge City Celebration – June 28 & 29. There will be a classic car show, artisans, animal show, entertainment, parade and more. This is a free event.

Clark Planetarium Premier of Dragons – Friday, June 28 from 11:30-2:30pm will be celebrating the opening of the film Dragons: Real Myths and Unreal Creatures. There will be free hands-on activities for kids to learn more about these mythical creatures. The event is free. Members get into the movie for free.

Free Bountiful Concert in the Park – Friday, June 28 at Bountiful City Park (400 N 200 W). Featuring Kurt Bestor and his band. Kurt will be introducing a new CD this Summer.

Downtown Provo's Rooftop Concert Series – Enjoy a FREE concert Friday nights on top of the Central Bank parking terrace (100 W 100 N, Provo).

The Homestead & Zermatt Summer Concerts & Cowboy Campfires: During the Summer each Friday and Saturday at 8:30pm, there will be FREE Cowboy Campfires. They are also holding FREE Summer Concerts throughout the Summer.

StART of Summer (Park City) – Saturday, June 29 at Trailside Park (5705 Trailside Dr). Start with a 5K run at 10am (registration is $45 per family. From 12p-2pm everyone is welcom for a free kids karnival featuring water slides, sprinklers, bounce houses, park activities and food.

Rock ‘N' Ribs – Saturday, June 29 from 2-10pm at the Gallivan Center. Some of Utah's greatest BBQ restaurants will offer sample plates among their other flame-grilled favorites, so you can try a little of everything. Admission is FREE!

North Logan Art on the Lawn – Saturday, June 29 from 10am-6pm at 1491 E 2300 N. There will be art and entertainment, a car show and silent auction with h'ordeuvres provide by Texas Roadhouse. Admission is free.

Tracy Aviary – Celebrate summer with $5 admission after 5pm every Monday night beginning on June 3rd and ending August 26th.

MOA Family Workshops (Provo) – Saturdays in May at BYU Museum of Art – Edward Burtynsky: The Industrial Sublime.  On any one Saturday of their choice families can take a guided tour of a current exhibition and create a fun, hands-on art project, free of charge.

Weber County RAMP Committee is offering various FREE activities each Saturday for the Summer. The Free activities for this Saturday, June 29 are:

Arts in the Parks Summer 2013 – Presented by Weber State University – this is a FREE week long art program for children. Each week will take place at a different park from 12:00 – 1:00 pm with a different set of activities Monday – Friday.

Megaplex Theaters have started selling tickets for their Kids Summer Movies Series. Pay $12 for 12 classic PG rated family films over 12 weeks. Summer Movies begin the last week in May and can now be purchased at Guest Services.

Cinemark Theaters  – Get a pass for 10 movies for just $5 bucks! You’ll want to get your pass right away! Cinemark: $5 Series punch cards are limited and are now available only at the theatre box office while supplies last. Admission with a series punch card is limited to one person per card per movie, and valid only at the theater where purchased. All films that have been selected are rated either G or PG. 

Scera Cinema Series (Orem) – Has a Kids Summer Matinee Program where you can buy one series for $7 or both series for $12. They will also be offering a Double Delight Treat Combo for $1 where you can pick any two items (popcorn, candy or drink).

Disney Store Scare Approaches 101 – Daily in-store through June 30. Each student will attend Scream Orientation and get a Monsters University id card. Each student will also receive an official Monsters University gift. Minimum age is 3 years.

Michael’s – On Saturday, 6/29, look for various crafts and activities.

Lowes Build & Grow There is a Kids Workshop – July 13, Mystery item – check back for registration. These fill up quickly, so you will want to sign up as soon as these workshops become available.

Home Depot – On Saturday, there is a Free DIY workshop at 10:15-11:30 am. Register online here.

Lakeshore Learning stores offer a free craft every Saturday from 11am-3pm. This Saturday kids can make a Fourth of July Noisemaker. Lakeshore Learning is in The Oakwood Village Shopping Center 5480 S. 900 East.

Here’s another great program to help keep the kids busy this summer and it’s free! Register for the KidsSkateFree.com program where kids can get free skating passes at participating locations nationwide. Utah’s only location is Classic Fun Center in Sandy.

Select bowling centers and schools around the country are participating in Kids Bowl Free program. This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer. Each bowling center will have their own age limits and shoe rental information. Bowling is completely FREE.

AMF has launched their Summer Unplugged program. At AMF, kids 15 and under can bowl for free all summer. Each registered child will have two free games per day waiting for them at the center through September 2, 2013, based on lane availability. In Utah the participating AMF Bowling Center is Ritz Classic Lanes on 2275 South State.
