Fairs & Festivals:

Harvest Festival (Tooele) – October 10-12 at Clark Historic Farm (378 W Clark St). There will be food, music, games and more. Admission is free.

Halloween Carnival (Midvale) – Saturday, October 12 from 12-2pm at Copperview Rec Center (8446 S Harrison St). There will be games, activities and prizes. Don't forget to bring your costume. This is a free event.

Pumpkin Festival (Herriman) – Saturday, October 12 from 5-7pm at W&M Butterfield Park. There will be a candy scavenger hunt, activities, prizes, pumpkin decorating contest, costume contest and more. This event is free.

ADHD Awareness Event (Draper) – Saturday, October 12 from 12-5pm at the Draper Amphitheater (944 E Vestry Rd). There will be performances, magic show, therapists, information available and more.

Country Farm Fest (Payson) – Friday, Ocotber 11 at the Dumas Farm. The is held each October. This family-produced event was created to celebrate fall, foster community involvement, and provide good, clean, country fun for the entire family. Admission is free.

Lolë – Friday, October 11 is celebrating it's South Jordan Grand Opening at 681 W 10600 S. Lolë is a women's apparel company and the event will feature food, giveaways, discounts and more. Plus, they are offering weekly FREE fitness classes on Wednesdays in October. Today (10/9), there will be a Functional CrossTraining from 12:15-1pm. Women in Motion Conference – Friday, October 11 from 9am-2pm at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center (1355 W 3100 S). This is a FREE conference, but tickets are required for admission. Tickets may be picked up at the Valley Fair Mall; West Valley City Library; Hunter Library; Valley Fair Mall; West Valley City Hall; the Family Fitness Center, and the Utah Cultural Celebration Center. The conference will provide inspiration for today's woman, with tips on health and wellness; education; finance; and family and community. Short presentations on a variety of topics will complement information booths. There will also feature drawings for prizes including movie passes, theatre tickets, spa packages, hotel getaways, gift cards and more! Conference attendees will also experience “A Taste of West Valley” with food samplings from local restaurants.

Deseret News Home Show – October 11-13 at the South Town Expo Center in Sandy. This event is sure to be informative and fun. Kevin O’Connor from “This Old House” will appear Saturday. The SIX SISTERS from the popular Six Sisters’ Stuff blog will host the Kitchen Stage and share their best recipes that are quick and easy to do too. Wild About Birds Nature Center in Layton – Saturday, October 12th. This free event with live owls, hawks and falcons. Several conservation groups will be attending teaching about themselves and what they do such as Hawk Watch and the Ogden Nature Center. There will also be free crafts for children to enjoy and light refreshments.

In addition, they are running a fun giveaway, enter by simply taking a picture of bird. Then submit your photo to the center anytime between now and October 11th and you will be entered to win one of 3 prizes. Judging will take place at the event, so make sure to take your photos in BEFORE the 12th. Amateurs photos only please. How fun!

Gluten Free Expo 2013 – Saturday, October 13 at the South Town Expo Center in Sandy. There will be recipes and tips for leading a gluten free lifestyle.

Block U Party – Saturday, October 12 from 1-4pm at the U of U Campus. This free event will include performances, food, contests, games t-shirt making, face painting, origami, large inflatable characters, the U alumni band, free collectibles for the first 500 people and more.

Water Tower Chronicles Musical – October 11-12 at Granite Park Junior High School (3031 S 200 E). The pre-show will run from 6-7pm with local performances and booths. The musical will be from 7-8pm starring actors, singers, dancers, and musicians. This is a free performance.

Annual Car Show (Providence) – Saturday, October 12 at Providence City Office. You're invited to join us for an afternoon of food, great cars, entertainment, vendors, and more.

Snowbird's Oktoberfest runs every Saturday & Sunday from August 17-October 13. Admission is free. This event is full of music, dancing, and traditional German cuisine. Kids can enjoy face painting, caricature artist, inflatable rides, and more.

Utah Museum of Contemporary Art – Saturday, October 13 from 2-4pm. Children ages 5-12 and their adult companions are invited to explore UMOCA exhibits and hands-on art activities. Admission is FREE.

MOA Family Workshops (Provo) – Saturdays in October at BYU Museum of Art – Monika Bravo: Landscape of Belief. On any one Saturday of their choice families can take a guided tour of a current exhibition and create a fun, hands-on art project, free of charge.
