With races being canceled due to the current pandemic, virtual races are gaining popularity. In virtual races, runners race on their own schedule, at whatever location they choose, then log in and record their results. Runners can still feel part of a larger group even though they are running alone. Many races also support various charities, giving runners a great purpose to run. We have compiled a list of virtual races in Utah that could be fun to sign up with friends or family:
The Super Run: A 5K for individuals to have a fun run day. Each participant receives: Heroes vs. villains theme cape in color of choice, Collectible event race bib, Finisher’s medal. Save 50% off on registration!
Bigfoot, The social Distancing Champions Running Challenge: Each participant receives: Online results, Commemorative T-shirt, Finisher certificate and Finisher Medal for marathon category. Course length: 5K, 10K, half-marathon, or marathon. Save 27% off on registration!
2020 CoronaBusters Virtual 19K Run Walk: Standard Participants will receive 2020 CoronaBusters Finisher Medal (Glows in the Dark), Official Tyvek Race Bib and CoronaBusters Patch. Runs May 1 – May 31, 2020.
2020 SoJo Virtual Race Series: This virtual race does include routes in South Jordan. You can choose to pay $15 to get a virtual race series medal and shirt OR you can simply select “No Thank You,” and you’ll still get weekly emails about new routes. You can enter to win race swag and prizes.
Virtual Graduation Run: Push yourself with a virtual Marathon or Half Marathon or maybe just take it easy with a nice 10K or 5K. Run on Graduation Day or anytime between April 24th and June 13. Your Finisher Medal, Shirt (Optional), Decal, Temporary Tattoo will be mailed out to you.
Conquer COVID-19 Virtual Run: Your Finisher Medal, Shirt (Optional), Decal, Temporary Tattoo will be mailed out to you. A portion of the proceeds from the virtual race will be donated to a running store of your choice. Registration ends May 15, 2020.
