Utah 24th of July Events: Free Admission to Red Butte Gardens, Union Pacific Railroad Celebration

Here's a couple of July 24th Pioneer Day events:

Red Butte Garden – FREE admission day on Pioneer Day, July 24th, from 9:00am – 5:00pm.

Wander the themed gardens and explore in the Children's Garden. Hike in the Natural Area where you'll discover great views of the Salt Lake Valley. Picnic in one of the “Wayside” resting areas or in the Secret Garden. Gather a garden club or book group for a meeting on the Four Seasons Courtyard where you will find chairs, tables and sun umbrellas. There's also a small splash pad for the kiddos.

Red Butte Garden is located at 300 Wakara Way, in Salt Lake City.

Union Pacific Railroad – Help them celebrate their 150th anniversary on Pioneer Day on July 24th.  There will be a brief ceremony at noon.

There will be  a series of attractions for the community to explore UP’s storied history via historical artifacts,  photos and a locomotive simulator. Ride the railroad’s mini-train for free. Refreshments will be served. From noon – 4:30pm.

Union Pacific Historic station is located at 400W and South Temple, in Salt Lake City.
