New Tide Pods are a detergent, stain fighter, and brightener all in one. According to the box they are compatible with HE washers.
Be on the lookout! I found a 3 pack sample at Walmart for $0.97 Hopefully, we'll see a coupon for these with the sample or in the March P&G booklet.
