Start planing your Summer Movies in the Park. Many cities provide a free outdoor movie and some start as early as the last week in May.

Chalk Art Festival (Ogden) – May 16-20 at Historic 25th St.
Great Salt Lake Festival (Multiple locations) – May 18-22 at Legacy Events Center. Be sure to check the schedule for various activities and locations. Some events to have a fee, others are free.
Living Traditions Festival (Salt Lake) – May 19-21 at Salt Lake County Building. This free event includes, music, dance, painting, culinary art and more.
Pedal Palooza (Herriman) – Saturday, May 20 from 9 – 11:30 am at W&M Butterfield Park. This free event includes family bike parade, free helmets, bike safety rodeo, raffles and more.
Hogle Zoo Military Appreciation Day – Saturday, May 20 at Hogle Zoo. Free admission to soldiers, veterans, and their immediate families. Just bring a valid I.D. Your soldier doesn't need to be present for the family to enjoy free admission.
Armed Forces Day Celebration (Salt Lake) – Saturday, May 20 from 4:30-9:30 pm at The Gallivan Center. This is a free concert and there will be plenty of food.
Museum of Peoples and Cultures Block Party (Provo) – Saturday, May 20 from 12-4 pm at BYU Museum. Fun hands on activities will help you step into the life of an archaeologist. Free event includes popcorn.
Daybreak Grand Opening (Daybreak) – Saturday, May 20 from 10 am – 6 pm at Highland Park Village. This free event include food trucks, beer garden, climbing wall, music, balloon art, face painting and more.
YMCA Healthy Kids Day (Taylorsville) – Saturday, May 20 from 1-4 pm at YMCA Family Center. Play bubble sports, sample nutritious snacks, learn about staying safe and healthy. This is a free event.
Child Safety Fair & Chalk Art Festival (Draper) – Saturday, May 20 from 11 am – 2 pm at Draper Crossing (12300 S 300 E). Includes chalk art display, free refreshments, bike safety info, hands on safety activities, bounce house, “stranger danger” classes, and more. This event is free.
Night on Commonwealth (South Salt Lake) – Saturday, May 20 from 6 pm – 1 am at UAA's new Art Factory. This free event includes: concerts, dance performances, kids zone, artists, food trucks and more.
Firewise Open House (Salt Lake) – Saturday, May 20 at 9 am -12 pm at Camp Kostopulos up Emigration Canyon. Learn new CPR protocols, teaching kids about hazards in the home, Radon test, earthquake experts and more. Plus, free breakfast catered by Ruth's Diner and Starbucks.
First Hatch Party – Saturday, May 20 from 12-2 pm at Toys R Us. Hatch and keep a free Hatchimal CollEggtible.
