City Fairs & Festivals:
Country Farm Fest (Payson) – October 10, 11, 16, 17, & 18 at Dumas Farm.The is held each October. This family-produced event was created to celebrate fall, foster community involvement, and provide good, clean, country fun for the entire family. Admission is free.
Performance Art Festival – October 17-18 at the Salt Lake City Public Library (210 E 400 S). There will be live performances for all ages. Admission is Free.
Harvest Carnival (Ogden) – Saturday, October 18 from 11 am – 2 pm at Marshall White Community Center (222 28th Street). This free event includes face painting, games, pumpkin carving, spook ally and more.
Gateway Pumpkin Festival – Friday, October 17 from 11:30-2:30 pm near the fountain at the Gateway Mall (in case of rain, it will take place in the Union Pacific Depot Grand Hall). Grab a pumpkin and start painting (while supplies last) and pick up some info on foster parenting. This is a free event.
Castle Valley Gourd Festival (Moab) – Saturday, October 18 at Castle Valley Community Center. Includes kids activities, parade, booths and more.
Salt Lake City Events:
Ginormous Pumpkin Regatta – Saturday, October 18 from 12-3 pm at Sugarhouse Park. Come watch mentally malformed growers carve then race their 1,000 lb. plus pumpkins. This event is free.
West Valley Women in Motion Conference – Saturday, October 18 from 9 am – 2 pm at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center. Get tips on health and wellness, education, finance, family and community. Plus you can try out great food in A Taste of West Valley. Admission is free, get your free tickets at West Valley City Hall (3600 Constitution Blvd) or the Utah Cultural Celebration Center.
Cabela's Ladies Day Out – Saturday, October 18 in Lehi. Whether you're a hardcore outdoor enthusiast or just looking to step back and unwind, there is something for everyone. This is a free event and the first 100 attendees receive a free gift.
Snowbird Customer Appreciation Day – October 18-19; enjoy a FREE Aerial tram ride (conditions permitting) with donation of a can of food for the Utah Food Bank or $3 for Wasatch Adaptive Sports Program.
Millfreaks in the Park – Saturday, October 18 from 2:30-5 pm at Canyon Rim Park (3050 S 2900 E). This free family activity includes entertainment, activities and prizes. There will be a fire engine ladder truck's pumpkin drop at 5 pm. Wear your costume.
The Container Store at Fashion Place Mall in Murray is having their grand opening October 18 & 19. They will be giving away prizes every hour, on the hour.

The Utah Museum of Fine Arts offers FREE admission every 3rd Saturday of the month. This Saturday, October 18 – The UMFA is filled with animals. You can find them painted, sculpted, and printed just about everywhere you look. This Saturday we will be inspired by animals in art and create our own animal masks.
MOA Family Workshops (Provo) – On any one Saturday of their choice families can take a guided tour of a current exhibition and create a fun, hands-on art project, free of charge.
