Hubs and I had a blast last night at The Utah State Fair. There was so much to do and see. If you haven't made it yet, go tonight. We went after work and had plenty of time to mill around, see the sites and attend a concert. SUPER FUN & slightly romantic.
Where else but The Utah State Fair can see you all of Utah's best Crafters, Cooks,Farmers and meet many of our local Artists and Merchants?
Experience a romantic Farris Wheel ride, sneak a kiss under the fireworks and take the little ones for a pony ride.
Eat Fried Food until your belly feels fried and get a sheep to smile on command. No kidding, I said “Say Cheese” and she smiled. Perhaps it was the smell of fried chicken on my fingers, or maybe she had just returned from the FREE teeth-whiting booth.
The highlight of my night was Lonestar in concert. They gave an amazing, gracious and up-close & personal concert. There were even autographs after the show. If you missed it and you ever have a chance to see them in a small venue, I HIGHLY recommend you go.
So, whatcha' waiting for? The weather is gorgeous, the food is greasy and the entertainment is FREE.

September 12, 2012 at 2:13 pmI love Lonestar! I saw them in concert at the Utah State Fair on September 11, 2001. I remember they had a moment of silence before the concert. Little did we all know how big of a deal it turned out to be and the rest of the concerts on their tour immediately following 9/11 were canceled. How neat that they played here again on 9/11/2012, eleven years later!

September 12, 2012 at 2:26 pmIt was an awesome concert. And, they did a nice tribute to 9/11 first responders. They said they will always remember Salt Lake. It made me cry.

September 12, 2012 at 11:07 amDo I have to go to the fairgrounds at noon to get admission (seating) tickets for Blues Travelers or can I get them @ Smiths?

September 12, 2012 at 11:45 amYou have to get them at the Fair Grounds. Get your discounted tickets at Smith’s. Then when you go to the admission line at the Fair, tell them you want to the see the concert.
