Several of the readers from our last giveaway emailed me about produce and how to get the best pricing. When good weather hits don't we all just get a craving for fresh produce? Happily produce is going down as summer approaches and we will have some better sales.
If you live near a Sunflower Market you might consider adding them to your stores to shop at. There is a reason there parking lot is always full. Their produce is consistently priced at a good value. This week Blackberries are just $.88 for a 5.6 oz container. Oranges are $.88 lb (Smith's $1.00 lb) and Romain or Iceberg lettuce is $.88 a head. As well as large Hothouse pesticide free tomatoes being $.99 lb. and corn ears are 5/$1.00 (Smith's 4/$1.00). Plus, it's fun to shop there. Sunflower Market is a trendy little market with plenty of organic and regular grocery's. I love their little grocery carts. If you like organic foods they seem to be competitive with Whole Foods prices.
Plus, if you sign up for the “Silly Savers Club” they will email you great coupons!
The thing that really caught me eye this week are the large Lobster tails are just $4.97 ea. (Smith's price $5.99) both are great buys!
There are only 2 locations in Utah. One in Murray 6284 S. State, one in Orem 1375 S. State. But since a large number of you live in those areas I thought it was worth a mention.
Sunflower Market puts an ad in the Tuesday circular for those that live within a certain mile radius. If you're like me and don't get it you can view it on-line here.
***A little secret…Shop on Wednesday's, the ads overlap that day and you get the best of both, last weeks and this weeks prices. It makes it so you can shop all 4 monthly sales and only have to go there 2 times in the month.
Smith's is next I promise. It's a long list and is taking me a while.
