Those heading to Smith's with coupons for the freezer event. Be aware, Smith's has changed their still unwritten coupon policy.
They will no longer be taking more than 2 printable coupons for the same item in one transaction. Basically what that means to you is that if you have two or more computers and you want to use your coupons for any of their 10 item event sales you will need to plan to break up your transactions accordingly.
Smith's has been loosing a massive amount of money from people that are photocopying coupons, which is illegal. So, this has been their solution for now. I'll have more on this and other “EXTREME coupon” backlash on Monday. Just wanted to give weekend shoppers a heads up.
My motto from the beginning – One newspaper, One weekly circular, One computer = One big savings. I've lost friends and gained enemy's because of that approach. Hum….

May 22, 2011 at 1:21 amOkay, so it’s not just me. I thought I had noticed that if something was on sale and there was a coupon making it an extremely good deal (extremely cheap or free), that it was totally cleared off the shelf and not restocked or, if it was restocked, totally cleared off again. Usually, one could pick up an item later in the week. Every time I watch that show, it makes me angry. I am not watching it any more. I’ll be looking for your tips to help. For those of us just trying to save money and feed our families well, especially in light of outragious gas prices, I just want you to know how much I appreciate your site. Thank you.

May 21, 2011 at 10:24 amP.S. -If you have lost friends for your honesty then they were never friends at all. You have also gained friends like me from your approach. Thanks so much!

May 21, 2011 at 10:18 amI tell all my friends about C4U because your approach to coupons and deals is realistic, honest and fair. I have noticed at several stores around me, items out of stock that I have ONE coupon for. It is sad what the show has done and what it is currently doing. Thanks for all your hard work though, you still make it fun and “realistic” for the rest of us

May 21, 2011 at 7:44 amDo you know if they will still accept more than two coupons from the newspaper?
c4u says
May 21, 2011 at 7:50 amYes, they will. However, newspaper coupons are starting to state only one coupon per transaction. Which means you won’t be able to use more that one in a 10 item event scenario. And, it’s in big red letters I might add. It’s very sad what that show has done. I’ll have examples up on Monday and a few tips to help.
