Groupon has a coupon for up to 42% off. Get One All-Day Slider Registration for $35 (reg. $60). Slide as much as you want from 10 am to 6 pm.
This code can be used up to 3 times on 3 separate transactions.
The slide is padded. Bring your water balloons, buckets, floaties, and water guns (non-realistic of course), to squirt, spray, splash, and get all attending soaked. Depending upon the pass you buy, you may need to bring your own inner tube.
Slide the City is a family friendly slip-and-slide water party event. There will be live music, food, drinks, water, and of course the biggest slip and slide ever to hit asphalt.
Tips and Things to bring:
*Tubes: All participants are required to slide on inflatable tubes. Tubes are included in certain packages. We noticed that the tire inner tubes (those black ones) that some people brought did not slide very well down the slide without getting stuck
*Clothing: No jeans or clothing with rivets. Please be tasteful as this is a family event.
*Kids: Kids 46 inches tall and 5 years or older are invited to slide. There is a special lane for kids. a waiver is required for anyone under 18.
We had the opportunity to attend last year's Slide The City. I was a little hesitant whether it would be something that whole family would enjoy and I am so glad we went! Everyone loved it and it was so much fun!
The line to go down the slide did got longer as the day went on, so go early. There were food trucks to buy lunch or snacks and music playing. Even my youngest who was six, was able to go down and had a blast.
From the top of the hill all the way to the bottom of the slide, your ride will take about a minute to slide down. Here's the view of our slide down:
