It’s time again for a, “Simple Saturday” post. On Saturday’s, we have decided to share a simple and easy cooking, crafting or otherwise post of interest, that really has “nothing to do with coupons”. Hopefully, you’ll find them entertaining and useful. You can find the rest of the “Simple Saturday” random postings under the “C4U Faves” tab at the top of the page.
While, this post breaks my own rules, as it does have to do with coupons, it seemed of interest as we approach the busy holiday shopping season.
Rockville Centre in New York has a new kind of Parking Meter. They are called “Print and Save” meters. MasterCard has teamed up with the village to offer local shopping incentives by way of the City's Parking Meters. The solar-powered kiosks not only accept credit cards as payment, they also print coupons for local stores.
The new meters were designed to encourage shoppers to shop downtown. That seems like a smart idea to me and might make me not feel so bad about the high cost of parking in Salt Lake. What do you think, would these kind of meters encourage you to head downtown more often to shop?
You can read more about this on NewYork.CBSlocal.com
Have a great weekend!
