It’s time again for a, “Simple Saturday” post. On Saturday’s, we have decided to share something out of the norm. a simple and easy cooking, crafting or otherwise post of interest, that may or may not have to do with coupons. Hopefully, you’ll find them entertaining and useful. You can find more of our Simple Saturday postings here.
At our house we are undergoing some construction. Our refrigerator ice maker sprung a leak and managed to ruin a very large part of our wood floor. Long story short of it, it opened a whole can of worms.
My kitchen is pretty old and quite small. Plus, I have one of those houses that has a closed off dining room isolated from the kitchen. So, we decided to go for it and check into doing a remodel of the whole space.
In our quest to make sure the design is as possible to perfect as we could, we turned to kitchen designer Emily, at Chris & Dicks who we used before for a remodel of our basement. Emily put me on to a website called Houzz.com. Have you discovered it? If you are on Pinterest, you may have pinned a few of the ideas already. Surprisingly, I had a few pins and had found I already set up an account… Guess I wasn't paying attention.
Houzz.com is an online resource for residential building, remodeling, designing and decorating a home. They have a huge residential design database, with TONS of remodel and decorating ideas. Plus, as you are browsing, you can save the ideas into your free account. You can also add notes to your saved items and share them for collaboration. And, you can even upload your own photos to your idea book too.
While browsing the Houzz website, I noticed a category for Media and Bloggers. If you write about the trends in home decorating, you can add your blog or website as a professional. Here's a link to what Utah Bloggers have added.
This website is genus for anyone decorating, remodeling or building a home or if you just want to dream a little.
Have a great weekend.
