This is us, being real.
What the heck is going on with Coupons4Utah?
UPDATE: Dear loyal peeps,Wow! I can't believe it's been nearly two years since we set out to change the site up just a bit and stray away from those “Run, Hurry, Go and Buy something Now” type of posts and instead focus more on everyday savings. Where did the time go?
Now, I could use your feedback. How are we doing? Better? Worse? Same? What would you like to see on the website? Any helpful comments would be much appreciated.
I was talking with a friend of mine the other day and made an astounding statement to her. Out of the clear blue, I stated, “I don't like deal blogs“. What?… Did I just say that? Sad to say, it's become a reality for me. Searching through thread after tedious thread, reading email newsletter after email newsletter, seeing the silly tactics some blogs use to gain your trust. It has begun to effect my attitude in life.
Deal after Deal after Deal… has left me asking myself daily, Is that a good deal?… Should I post that? Will it be helpful? Is it real? Is this a deal the company intends to have made public?
I have decided I need to make some changes, before I go Cuckoo. I spend so much time posting deals, finding deals, dreaming deals, that I haven't had time to do what I really set out to do when I started the site. Focus Local. Real deals that work right here in the State of Utah, is what I once said. I have lost focus!
I love visiting with local merchants, like The Honey Stop, Nuch's and The Old Flamingo and helping local causes like The Dialysis patients. Yet, the deal blog scene prevents me from doing that.
Little by little, I've been trying to make it so that when folks visit, they can browse the categories and find the tools that are useful to them. It truly is my goal, for the site to function as a helpful tool. That way, the blog, can be a blog, tidbits of information from people you hopefully trust, and you can get to know better.
So, here's the deal…. Sometime next week our little site is getting a new homepage. Instead of posting deal after internet deal, I have decided to listen to my goals for the site and make less posts that start out with the words “Run, Hurry, Go Now” and make more posts that include the words, “Check out this awesome new adventure, I found and, there's a deal for it.”
I hope you'll stick with me as our little site continues on it's journey. Everyday, I am humbled by your loyalty. Thank you.

April 10, 2013 at 9:21 pmYour passion is what drew me to your site years ago, and what continues me to follow it. I wish there were more of “you” out there. Well actually I really don’t, because that’s what make this site special. No matter the changes, I am sure they will be wonderful because I know there are allot like me who appreciate your honesty and authenticity. I say go for your goals! Thanks for all you do
