We took a little mini vacation to Park City last week and it was a blast! We spent some time chilling at Canyons Resort, rode the rides at Park City Mountain resort and ate out WAY too much!
If you head up to the Mountain resort, and you can swig it, take a ride on the Alpine Coaster. Roller Coaster groupies, this one is a goodie! Passes are pricy, order online ahead of time for 10% off.
On Sunday's we thought we would take a stroll up Historic Main Street for some shopping and stumbled The Park City Silly Market. The market is full of local artists and delicious food. There's music and face painting for the kids too.The market is open on Sunday's through September 23. Hours are from 10 am to 5 pm.
We are crazy about local art, so it was like being a kid in a candy store and I finally had to break down and buy a few items. Check out my favorite find from local artist Bart Kadleck at Wood Woodwackers. I love these University of Utah UTE Coasters! They were originally purchased as a gift, but I don't know if I'll be able to give them up.
Just a few blocks up Main Street from the Park City Silly Market, you'll find a little locals Farmers Market that also had music. The booths there were all food related and OH MY GOSH (pardon my Utah slang), this Farmers Market is small but packs a big punch in selections. I walked away with The most delicious pasta, bread, veggies and eggs needed to make a beautiful meal!
There's also a Farmers Market at Canyons Resort every Wednesday through October from 12pm-6pm. It's in the big resort parking lot off Highway 224.
If you are looking for a way to beat the heat for the day or for a getaway, this could fit the bill.
