We scored a special autographed copy of Joy's “Joy in YOUR Garden” book for one of our readers. This book filled with beautiful photographs is a collaboration between Joy Bossi & Karen Bastow. It is written specifically for our most challenging  garden problems and covers everything from pruning trees to lawns and of course gardens. And, it doesn't stop at summer either.   11. I love gardening and really don’t have any good stories. Except for the time when my husband put the round up in my bug sprayer and I sprayed all our plants. Took me a few days when they were wilting to realize what had happened. To this day round up does alot better on plants then weeds.

  13. When we were first married my husband planted a great tomato patch. One day while he was at work I found some giant Tomato bugs on them. Instead of just picking them off I promptly got out the bug killer. It was the kind you mix yourself & of coarse I mixed it wrong. It killed the bugs and the plants too. They were gone within an hour. 12 later I’m still not living it down. Thanks for the giveaway!

  14. After we moved in to our new house people kept mentioning how beautiful our backyard used to be with all the different wildflowers that the previous owner loved to grow. No one mentions how it looks now, I guess it is time to try to restore it to its former glory. This book would help. Thanks.

  16. I could really use this book as a green thumb I do not have; my craziest story I guess is that the best plant I have going is a basil plant that planted itself in a pot that use to house a spider plant that the cats ate!

  19. Last year was my first attempt at a garden, I didn’t know what I was doing and planted something like 14 tomato plants.. (Luckily I found a great tomato soup recipe!)

  20. My husband loves listening to Joy in the Garden! Would make a great gift for him. Every year our yard looks better and our garden expands, but there’s lots to know! My garden story … my husband planted a baby apple tree. It actually produced one little apple its 1st year and my husband was so proud! My cute little 3 year old picked it before it was ready. My husband ate it anyway, sour and all!! Haha!! Then my cute little puppy chewed all the branches off and the poor tree died!

  23. Last year I moved into a home with a nice bush/flower garden already done and I still haven’t figured out how to take care of it all. Joy is awesome- great giveaway!
