How to add other people to your Amazon Prime account.
With today sale of an Amazon Prime membership upon us, I thought I would repost this information. We all know the benefits of being an Amazon Prime member, you enjoy 2 day free shipping on items shipped from Amazon as well as getting free access to 1,000's of Instant Video streaming movies and TV Shows plus, the 10's of 1,000's of free eBooks available for Prime members. Plus, moms qualify for special 20% savings.
Did you know you can share your Amazon Prime account with up to 4 people?
Adding family members to your Amazon prime account and then sharing the cost can take a bite out of the expense. It's a great way to lower the cost of your annual membership. Here's how:
Step #1 – Log into your Account account, roll over the “Hello…, Your account” tab on the top right and click on “Your Account”
Step #2 – Choose “Your Prime Membership” and enter your user email and password.
Step #3 – Scroll all the way to bottom of the page and click on “Share your Prime benefits” Enter the required information: name, email address, relationship and birthday for each new member.
The person you invite will receive an email from Amazon telling them to activate the Prime benefits, they will also need to know your birthday. There really isn't a real “household” requirement so, your kids living away from home, roommates and friends (as long as they don't mind being called sibling) will still qualify.
Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial
Note: Keep in mind that your Prime sharing will only allow for the free two-day shipping to relatives and friends. They will not get access to Prime video or Kindle book benefits. You can remove them anytime you choose from the same section.
Happy Sharing!

December 12, 2014 at 9:42 pmThank you for this information! This is something Ive been considering but wondered about the details. Do you know if you share does everything have to be shipped to one address? And are you only allowed one of each deal if it’s a one per person thing?

December 12, 2014 at 10:35 pmNo, everything stays just the same. The people you share with keep their own separate account. It doesn’t mix with yours. They can ship and order just like they always have.
