We visited This is the Place Heritage Park a few weeks ago and it' is so much fun. If you haven't been there I highly recommend you go. There is so much to see and do, you could easily go multiple times and find something new.
Take a walk back in time and see what the streets of Utah looked like during the pioneer days, complete with folks in character.
Along the way you'll find kids craft opportunities (3 included with each admission) that include a pony ride, leather tooling, panning for gold and more.
Save time for the Native American show and don't miss the Schoolmarm, where kids can take a step back in time and see what school was like for a pioneer child.
There is so much more. Young and old of any faith will enjoy the walk through time and all of the wonderful historical information you get. I'm looking forward to taking our Mom next time I go, who has never visited the park.
Tips for visiting Heritage Park
#1- Take a lunch and plenty of water. Outside food and drinks are allowed in park. They even have some nice shady covered tables to eat at.
#2 – Check out the train in the back of the gift shop before and/or after your visit. It's a model of the village and kids will enjoy looking at where they have been.
#3 – Weather permitting there is a fun splash pad. Plan to take extra clothing as needed.
#4 – If you are taking along a Grandparent or other person that has difficulty getting around, the park does have wheelchairs available. They are free and only require a drivers license to utilize.
