Good morning our frugal friends. One of the challenges I've been facing lately is eating on a regular basis. My go, go, go lifestyle has left me forgetting to eat and, as a result I started putting on some weight and my nutrition was suffering enough to cause some health issues. Yikes!
A few weeks ago, I posted on Facebook a question about Smoothies. We had so many of you respond on Facebook with great recipes and even a few eating tips. So, as promised, I'm going to share a few of them along with some other healthy and easy to prepare “Snack of the Day” ideas that are under or around 200 calories. Hopefully, you'll find these posts inspirational in helping you make some adjustments to your nutrition intake.
This Watermelon Blueberry Smoothie is quick to make and the ingredients are on sale at many stores right now.
- 2 Cups Seedless Watermelon
- 1/2 Cup Blueberry
- 1/3 Cup low or fat free Vanilla Greek Yogurt (1/2 the 6 oz. container)
- 8 or so ice cubes
Enjoy!
