I hope you all had a wonderful day of reflection with family and friends. Easter is such a great time to honor old traditions and create new ones, don't you think? Just this past week we lost a very close family member so, Easter will take on new meaning for us in the years to come.
With this recent lose, we missed our little grand-daughter that lives in Europe more than ever and as a result the inner child in me was especially longing for the Egg dying tradition.
On a whim, I decided to dye a few hard boiled eggs and pack them up for some of the elderly people in our neighborhood. After a quick coloring I packed up the eggs in little boxes that I had purchased from Oriental Trading. As I recall they were under $2.00 for a dozen.
These little boxes were received with such pleasure that I just had to share this inspiration. The folks that received our little gift were so happy to be taken back to their younger egg dying years and glad to have a moment to reflect and share some memories. Hopefully this post will inspire you to help someone find their inner child.
Happy Easter
