VAI Family Fun Fair and Grand Opening Celebration (Salt Lake) – Aug 19 from 5-8 pm at Visual Art Institute. Celebrate the GRAND OPENING of Visual Art Institute’s new location in South Salt Lake! Enjoy FREE ADMISSION, fun art activities, mural painting, live music by SLAM, bounce houses, artist market, student art show, and food trucks!
Stansbury Days (Tooele) – Aug 17-19 at Porter Way Park. Includes Paddle board race, car show, lighted boat race, fireworks and more.
Uintah County Fair -Aug 16-19; color fest, monster trucks, car show and more.

Back Alley Bash (Park City) – Aug 19 from 5-9 pm at City Park. Live music, kids activities, face painting and more.
Dark Skies Star Party (American Fork) – Aug 19 at 8 pm at Timpanogos Cave National Monument. Look at constellations, use telescopes, and talk about the ways in which dark–and light–affect our lives.
Kensington Street Festival (Salt Lake) – Aug 19 from 2-8 pm located on Kensington Avenue between Main St. and Major St. Music, food and drinks, beer garden, food trucks, and activities for the whole family.
Utah Athletics Fan Fest (Salt Lake) – Aug 19 from 6-9 pm at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Free event kicks off the 2023-24 competition year and features activities and interaction with student-athletes and coaches from Utah’s athletics programs.
Natsu Matsuri (Salt Lake) – Aug 19 from 11 am – 5 pm at Japanese Church of Christ. Experience rich Japanese traditions with origami, bonsai, ikebana, onigiri (rice ball) workshops, taiko drummers, Judo, a traditional Japanese fashion show, and more.
Snowbird Oktoberfest Oktoberfest at Snowbird is a family-friendly affair with activities, food, and, of course, brews for days — weeks actually. The highly-anticipated festival begins late-August and lasts through mid-October, taking place every Saturday and Sunday, along with Labor Day.
